I used to bicycle and camp in Ohio. The State Park had Class A and Class B camping (10 and 4 bucks a night). I referred to them as Class and Classless. The B camp was loud with radios , motorcycles, and just plan noise.

We added an airfryer, and 3 . 'quart instapot to our camper appliances. They have lessened the cooking load by 75 percent. I cook my bacon and toast and biscuit in the airfryer. Plus, chicken and pretty much all my meats except steak in there. The instapot I use if I'm tired from the day and too tired to cook. Just dump all the ingredients in, and it's does all the rest.

I camped at Tuttle for years, and the general area for decades. In all of those years the campground was never over half occupied, usually much less. Over the past few years though things have changed dramatically. Social media has completely ruined the area. My last trip to Tuttle Creek a couple of years ago, it was completely full, and not with respectful folks, but a bunch of rowdy noisy city people. The crowds at Alabama Hills in their Sprinter vans and over-equipped overland Jeeps (that never see real off-roading) was heartbreaking. When I lived in Bishop in the 70s I would visit those hills often and usually encountered zero to two or three other people, max. I love Catherine's videos, not blaming her. Much of the problems started with Instagram and FB posts going viral, which attracted a mass of people with a different mindset than previous generations of campers. Now many areas in the west that were peaceful, even sacred, are ruined forever. The worst part, aside from the loss of solitude is the amount of scattered litter, and even graffiti and other vandalism. 😢

We camped there for five days the moved it down to San Bernardino for the winter storage. We visited Mammoth mountain area to see the fall colors in the alpine lakes of Inyo National Forest, June Lake Loop and fished for trout at Rock Creek Lake. It was absolutely gorgeous up there.

Happy Sunday Cat! I was a little nervous when I saw how high your camper was jacked to get it level at that sloped campsite. I could just see you rolling down hill in the middle of the night. Funny, not funny, lol. Might be a good idea to carry some wheel chokes for situations like that. I have a similar Ninja air fryer and use it all the time! So easy to use, and healthier than oil frying. That time-lapse star trail shot was one of your best yet! We were just up at June Lake for a few days last week. Might have passed you on the road. I saw that Lone Pine was getting ready for their annual Film Festival. Might have been why the campground was crowded? So that was you at Walmart? Haha!

... Nice to see you add an air fryer in the trailer ,, not having an oven limits some great meals on the road ... I've been using one for about a year now (at home) ,, and seldom use the oven now ,, the air fryer can do so much .... Lots of video's out there on various meals and recipes ... I love "Mandy in the Making" ,, where she offers viewers recipes as well ,, and her husband and son are not only the taste testers (victims ??) ,,but also the first line critics .... easy to use and easy to clean up .. .. Always love the scenery and seeing that you are doing well ... Stay Safe ... ... I use an air fryer also in my small RV even though I have an oven , just got familiar with some recipes I like ... also Use a countertop ice maker when parked for a couple of days ,, freezer space is small and having enough ice is always needed more ,, especially in summer ...

My experience this fall camping out west in late Sept-Oct was that most camp spots were still crowded or full. Also some BML spots were charging and the only way to pay was through Reserve America and there service charge was $8.00. Some national forest camp spots were closed for the season but allowing "dry camping".

Hi Catherine.....Im a fan of your chanel, being from the Sonora ca area, I was just in Lone pine and that camp ground a week ago! I drove back home through the Sonora pass on Hwy 108. The views there are so beautiful that it rivals Yosemite park!

We just stayed there a couple weeks ago on our last night of our 10,600ish mile Alaskan trip. We took Tuttle Creek road which was magical but not good for long rv setups. It was our first time but won't be our last. Our favorite part was the view of Owens Dry(wet) Lake.

I miss driving up 395. It's been 3 years since the last time. So maybe this coming spring will be a good time to go.

That was great,Cat. We always appreciate a heads-up on camping areas. We are waiting for the weather to get a lot colder before we head up that way. Seems the cold weather thins out some of the campers and may even keep the loud ones away. I think backpacking is probably the only way to expect peace and quiet, but then I'm sure there must be a few that have to bring their tunes along or worse yet sing. Lol. We were surprised as well to hear things were so crowded on a Tuesday. I guess all those RV sales during Covid are catching up with us. Enjoy the rest of your trip in Yosemite and be safe! ❤

coincidently, you are in the exact same spot we were in last Spring. The "Hills" were open & pretty full and surprisingly not too bad at Tuttle.
