This video l liked all the trees with snow on them, l live in New Zealand which is in the Pacific ocean down south by the artic in my part of New Zealand we don't get snow so watching snow is kinda new to me, anyway here's to you and city girl.

Everything takes longer for me to do, because I have to fix at least three things before I can fix the one thing that I need to do the job I want to do. By then I am too tired and frustrated to do what it was I was planning to do. Fortunately I am getting old so I by the next day I don't remember what it was I needed to do anyway. I have a large metal funnel I put into the same container you have for meting snow the stove, works great. The funnel will hold as much snow that you had in the plastic bucket if not more. Thanks for the vid, thumbs up for the dogs.

too funny!! we did the kinda the same thing last weekend. Grabbed snow in the cast pot not knowing how much snow was on the bottom. Put it on the fireplace and turned the seacan into a steam room!!

You need a feed scoop to scoop the snow in . On our hunting club we have an outdoor toilet, we keep a bucket of powdered lime inside to sprinkle on the poo to help decay. So glad to see you using ear protection, I have severe hearing loss. There are more things in the sea that will eat you than in the forest 🤪

Man with those blue eyes you should be wearing sunglasses. My eye Dr., told me this as blue eyes are more prone to cataracts. I spent 6 years in Alaska, two winters in Maine and sunglasses were a must to prevent snow blindness when you came inside. As usual another awesome video. Have a great week.

I laughed over your collection of water, I recognize so well from my cottage, where I too must collect rainwater and we have a composting toilet too... An old saying, you don`t miss the water till the well is dry.. When I got back to town after summer holidays, it was a revelation almost, to turn the tap on... and with hot water coming too! Hey Russ.... looks fabulous there.. we got some heavy snow as well. The video shots were incredible. I see the tire plow worked as planned. The snow collecting in the tires also helps give a little more down force on the trail. Your water situation is more than manageable. I’m certain there are many options but they will all be far more complicated. .. part of being out there is for some things to be less complicated....glad you and the puppies are well. Hi Russell. I took a break from cleaning up the yard from hurricane force wind storm we had earlier this week. Lost power for a day and a half. Stars were brilliant. Stuffed the fridge and freezer with ice. Saved the food. Guinness is my drink of choice. The first one tonight will be great. I will raise a toast to you and your paradise. Nice to see you this week. That beautiful snow is usedul to insulate your cabin floor and hold heat more efficiently if you use shovel and bank it up against your cabin to close up any gap from ground to floor...from experience, i know this works 👍

What a life those doggers have! I used to drink Sandeman Private Reserve, but haven't found it round here lately. Now its Kopke, Bin 27, or cheap day-to-day swill, Presidential Tawny Porto. Love port with cheese, especially strong pungent ones... really cuts through. Enjoyed the scenery, as usual..... now get back to work on that siding ;-)

If you find the leak on the inside remove the insulation and use a torch or heater to melt the snow on the top by holding the heater to the bottom of the roofing sheet metal it will melt the snow on top and you can see where it’s at on the top

Love the scenes of the snow covered trees. Glad to see that the 3 tire snow plow works well. I know what you mean about melting snow - you fill the bucket to the top and only get a small percentage of water out of it. What is it the weatherman says? - "If that 1 inch of rain was snow, we would have had 12 inches of snow!" Glad to see your T&G is almost done. I started nailing up my T&G in the kitchen area, where the cabinet will go. I used my Ryobi cordless nailer for the first time. It works well as long as the battery is fully charged! I love the snow flakes on Willow's black fur! I'm drawn to the sea myself; I even went to the US Merchant Marine Academy for university. Peace - Dave

I had one of those blue barrels inside behind the wood stove with a pump in it to supply the taps. then I just dumped into the big barrel worked ok until I got the well.

Watching you snow plow with the tires, I wondered if you had considered screwing two boards to the tires in a V configuration, with the point at the front of the front/single tire? It would be easy to do, and would divert the snow to the sides. Thanks for the videos. Take care.

Russell what do you use on your solar panels for the snow to slid off so easy ? Are you using a roof rake on them also ? Try using a small sauce pan for getting the snow from the bucket . Looks the same here in northern MI. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe, warm and healthy. God bless

Great video Russell. I like Riesling wines and we drink out of canning jars. Wine doesn't like us, giving us acid reflux 😣, but once in a while we suffer.🙂
