New sub. I grew up among American Indians in Oklahoma. I really miss their tipis and fragrant fire places. I'm in southern Indiana now. Your tipi is fabulous and so is Mr Buster 😊 Hope to see many more vids like this. God bless.

Six weeks campout, that is to make a dream come true. You mentioned just a while ago that you were a full-time youtuber, that is, no job, only youtube, full freedom, is that the way it is? The Tipi is really super, close at the ground, open at the top for a wood burner and completely waterproof, as well as a nice lot of space. That camp ends up being the pure luxury before you finish there. 👍

I sure do love a longterm camp. When I was young, the family and my aunt and uncle's bunch used to do a four-week vacation up in the mountains every year. It takes a few days to get the daily routine set, but then it's easy. The Tentipi Safir tents are great - Ric Nagualero (Nagualero on KZbin) spent a year and a half in one (either a 7 or a 9) in Sweden a few years ago, and had nothing but good to say about the tent. It did change color a bit with 550 days of UV, but never developed even a slight leak. Looking forward to more videos as the weeks go by.

I love your tent and Buster must love it also and he seem to be enjoying his bed there inside where he can be nice and warm. Your saw horse is looking great and that is what we used when I was a teen and we had to cut up firewood for my grandparents cook stove and heater.

We sold our houses. We spent 22 weeks in a tent Tipi Safir 9 admittedly on campsites I was our home. Didn’t pack the stove. We had four ground sheets we moved around so we didn’t mark the ground too much. It was the only tent that could have done it. April to August 2014 👍🏻

got to your channel searching Tentipi, so i can get a nomadic shelter in my piece of land here in the south of Spain at Granada City near the Sierranevada Range. Here we have cold winters, but from April to September i can live with a tarp or no shelter at all under a tree... but in winter i´ll need a hot tent cause freezes at night and we reach -3 to -6ºC

Hi mate great video. i have a couple of questions. firstly is there and gaps in the ground sheet if its all closed up ( could spiders/mice get in ?) also im thinking about getting one in this range for full time living. do you think the safir 7 would be big enough for me and my mountain bike? im not sure if the safir 5 would be big enough or weather to go for the 7 cheers
@BushwackerMan
@BushwackerMan 4 жыл бұрын
The ground sheet is water tight zipped in. I am currently staying in a arctic tent - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZovLq5ikobOsmac - so i would recommend the 9 for long term living 👍👍
@Luke_explores
@Luke_explores 4 жыл бұрын
@@BushwackerMan I wasnt sure if they zipped in thats good. the issue i have is i plan on travelling around fairly frequently and wild camping so i need something light enough but also big enough to carry in my bike trailer. the safir 7 light looks ideal but the stove is 20kg which is far too heavy to carry on a bike and the cheap frontier stoves which are only 10kg dont have long enough flue pipes hmmmm

I used to process logs for sale by the hundreds of nets, your axe technique is bad, you need a splitting maul first off, you have a felling axe, and swing the axe while moving your top hand down, let the weight of the axe do the work.
