Great explanation video very informative, but I did chuckle at the start it reminded me of carry on camping with all the clanging from your pack “Charles autry” 😂🤣😂 👍🏻

I watched a video, can’t remember what the channel was but this bloke did a knot like I’ve never seen before and was very interesting because he showed how to tighten the line or loosen it? But this works anyway 👊🏻

You brought Becky with you. She didn't want to be in your video? That pack looked like it weighed more than me. Great hammock and tarp setup. Now I've got to take a nap after watching you carry and setup all that stuff Have a grand day.
@SilentWoods1234 жыл бұрын
Nice setup, i had the same string one my frontline. But one day i woke up wet, rain go's trough it into your hammock. I cut them short and put a wooopiesling with a carabine between that works as a rain stopper.

nothing like a good hammock set up for sure. I use eno camonest, with aqua quest tarp camo 13X10 I use climbing accessory webbing for my hammock with a becket hitch, ie. no hardware, and the accessory webbing is the lightest tree strap I have ever seen, I use dutch bling for my zing it ridgeline, until recently I have been using a inflatable matt under me, but recently learned the value of under quits. I added a amazon $16 bug net for hammocks with a center vertical zip. full coverage, I was getting bit from below by mosquitos, on one canoe trip with only a top bug net. After that full bug net for me. for a top quilt I use a sleeping bag upside down depending on the season I choose the proper bag. I sleep like a baby in a hammock set up well, and don't think I can go back to sleeping on the ground anymore.

Had another look at this one...am out again Saturday and Sunday in the hammock myself. Hoping to try the little bit of woodland i grew up in as a kid, for the first time. Its sure changed a bit since the two storms in the 80s and the little saplings that were growing back then are probably big ole trees now. Still love this video mate

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences. I've learned a thing or too from your video. I'm rather new to hanging, not to camping and looking for smart tips and tarp set ups to stay comfy. I've got the same 3x3 dd mc tarp. The blanket over the lower ridgeline is a good idea. You can do that with a small tarp just to keep the wind off the bugnet. Set up the big tarp in a lean-to against the wind. I like your set up. Thanks for sharing and I got some idea's.

thats an interesting way to camp, I have never tried a hammock,. but for me the swag seems alot easier....... 3min and I'm done, I need reasonable ground unless I'm using a stretcher, then I can set up nearly anywhere. I need to try a hammock haha, be easier to carry. thanks for the vid
