Thats because when Dallas was putting emotion into it, it was all real emotions he was going through and struggling with at the time. All of the old Underoath songs with Dallas give me goose bumps and even make me tear up, they are so powerful, completely unlike their new stuff.

Before knocked Loose there was "Dallas Taylor" In my opioinion he was 15 years ahead of his time setting up the entire game for future bands to come such as knocked loose, variels, vein, ETC...…… Yet no one give him recognition either. Sad shit that dallas taylor is handicapped now

yes, it is about his girlfriend (actually fiance) who he broke up with... The band didn't know how to deal with it and Dallas was taking his grieve with him (just read his lyrics) I thought it was really a wreck forever but found an interview (on youtube type dallas taylor interview)

musically they were so much innovating in their two first albums, the confusing timing and the passion they put at them caught us so badly, can be really felt listening ... the eternal spencer/dallas discussion, Dallas was first and that's to respect but the vocal range of Spencer is widely better

ok, the accident and all of that is just a story that dallas came up with, nothing of that happened (thats why on "its dangerous business" they say its on porpose, if not they would be saying dallas murdered his gf and you guys know dallas and spencer are friends), i do think the song is like a 2nd part for cries, i have to say i love how dallas was with the audience, on here he caress a guy's head, on other he holds a guy (not on a gay way though), he was so much better and METAL!

its really not, when i hear spencing all i hear is darkness, no emotion just darkness (not in a demonic sort of way) but when dallas screams, the way he screams and the music give it emotion, unlike spencer which just gives the song sort of a monotone emotion.

yes, the new underoath is not death metal. but they are not "emo" either. they are screamo. however the older undroath albums were death metal. and also, i am a big fan of norma jean, but sorry they are not death metal, they are chaos core. try to know more about the bands before telling people "the facts."
