A shame this song was never released. This one was going to be on their 4th album called Dear Misery (which is now They're Only Chasing Safety), but Dallas Taylor left.

There's a parallel universe where "Define The Great Line" doesn't exist, but this does.

fightfairfightfair to be more accurate, They’re Only Chasing Safety wouldn’t exist and this would in it’s place. And this would be another of my favorite albums in the world along with the first three.

@@noelschmidt1422 It's so funny to see such an old comment on youtube. Underoath phase was really a long one, and my english was cringe worthy =D. 10 years later I just wanna say that it's a bummer we won't see dallas with underoath, not even for anniversary tour or something.

probably would have been the best post hardcore album ever made if dallas stayed in that band. oh what could have been. They're only chasing safety to me was my falling out with underoath. then i picked up define and that wasnt too bad. but cries of the past and the changing of times will have my heart. im only 18 crazy to think ive been listening to underoath since i was 12.

FUCK dude. This seriously should have been recorded!!!! What the fuck! Why didn't they just hop in the studio or record some demos. I thought Tim liked to record their shit sometimes too. Ugh. So annoying. Too good. I need this underoath back asap

@ElitheNinja900 There's a song called "A Half Cocked Smile and 2 Guns Blazin'" by the band The New Tragic which Dallas was a member of which had some of the vocal melodys/lyrics of this song. Though it sounds like the old vocalist from From First To Last is singing it, he was in the band too.

This song would've been down set go but nah the main reason why you can tell it was down set go is because the order of bridges verses and chorus's were similar and plus at 2:29 would be the part where Aaron goes: "make a sound it's for you choking here alone" but instead it was "send me postcard" and then after that part would be Spencer screaming "WHAT EVER I SAY GOES..." but instead it was Dallas screaming words that sounded like "from heaven" or just something like that. This was not a boy brushed red trust me.

Aaron recently said in an interview that TOCS was never intended to be called Dear Misery, that when asked by the interviewer Aaron replied, "That's a terrible title!" Source: Episode 014: Aaron Gillespie Interview (Underoath 10-Year Retrospective) @ 44:57

Aaron only said that name was terrible because he was mad and stuff

dallas ruled and UO was such a different band back then,so much meaning behind lyrics made then unique, and yes Spencer is great screamer but he cant do stuff like Dallas, and well Dallas cant scream so high as Spencer.well shame that This runs through stayed just on EP release
