Your answer is misleading. Jesus asked Simon / Peter to place the first stone = pierra / pierre of his Tempke. Not just one building temple in Jerusalem but The Universal Temple Worldwide. Simon Jesus disciple took the name of Peter. The stone and started to build the network of churches. The Pope is the guardian of this churches / temples because Jesus asked him. We follow Jesus when we listen to the Pope and hep him to be the keeper of our churches and Faith. We are NOT followers of any Pope, we are obeying to Jesus will who designed one of his close disciples and ask him to build the Universal church, Amen ! There is no boy one Christianity created by the first Popes who spread the New Testament, Jesus world and helped to construct first churches. Those who are outside of the Church are not following Jesus will.

Beautiful memories from decades ago. Back then in 1974 we were able to walk on the paths among those trees. And the alabaster windows inside the church glowing from the bright summertime sun outside are probably my most lovely memory from that pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

If a celebrity were to rob a bank, and get let off because of how many "good deeds", he's done in the past, there would be a riot. How much more the Almight God won't be unjust, and instead will judge righteously, based off of the crime. You can't work away your crime, instead you face a punishment, and how much more the punishment of hell is. But Jesus Christ died to take your punishment of sin, so that through Jesus Christ, you can have your sins already paid for in full on the cross. Unless you forsake muhammad, then you will never enter the kingdom of heaven, even just read the bible with humility and Jesus Christ will reveal Himself to you through His WORD!

Things cannot be ‘Normal’ in any Nation- state which treats the indigenous population with utter contempt, commits daily atrocities via settler violence which is mostly backed by police/military. Not to mention a nation who continually breaks international law and operates happily under apartheid rules. Peaceful dismantlement of the settlements required, Jerusalem to be recognised as the capital of Palestine and the refugees to get their right to return. This is a path to normality.
