The singer is Zoe Gleeson from Roscrea, Co. Tipperary. The song, released in 2021, was number 7 in a set of commemorative songs for the Centenary commemorations of the revolutionary period in Ireland is perhaps the most poignant in a set of great songs of their kind, but terribly sad though heroic in the events they depict and recall. What great songwriting by Séamus, and wonderful singing by Zoe 💚🤍🧡
