I’ve been to different sections of the Great Wall, and I would say that Jinshanling, which is the one you chose, is the best. I’m glad you decided not to visit the crowded and more famous sections like Badaling or Mutianyu. Actually, I was told that the Jinshanling section is the most iconic part of the Great Wall, with 99% of the images of the Wall being taken there.

I hate to say it. But that price you pay is just ridiculous. When you say private tour, and at that price, I was thinking maybe a guided tour accompanied by someone who speaks English all the way with all the entrance fees and transportation covered. Turned out its just a driver to drive you to and from plus helping you buy the tickest. Why don't you just Didi it for maybe 600 Yuan at most.

It was a high price but 100% worth it. Having the luxury of having a driver drive you to the entrance of the wall and back to the hotel, wait for you (we were able to stay as long as we wanted on the wall) and being able to go to the Jinshanling part - with NO people around us. That is actually priceless 😊
