@@deadpinecollective I got nothing in the traps this morning, really trying for a coyote myself! Not too comfortable sharing them because of the number of domestic dogs in the area. Any recommendations?

@@Trapper_Tom you can use a foothold which means you can release if needed. I’ve never set footholds because you have to check every 48hrs.

No luck for me today on my trap check. Wolves have been gone for nine days now. So it is the waiting game. They will come back. They hunted my area hard for three weeks, now off in another drainage. Hope you get some. Take care.

Ya, I know it’s a common thing but when you get air 2 weeks you always expect something 😁. It’s been the same issue for lots of trappers in this region this year. Marten pop down, squirrel and ermine up, and wolves are always just a waiting game. I definitely need to load up on more bait. Thanks for watching!

It's hard not to get frustrated.....especially with the price of gas right now. Still.......do we do this for the money? Yes, and no. A fella wants to at least break even, making money is always better.......but this lifestyle is what it's really all about. Here we are in "The Future" it's 2023....not 1823 and we are still running our traplines! To me at least, that makes it all worth while......but a fella does like to get lucky now and then too. Wolves.....I love them! Biggest Challange as a trapper or hunter I've ever had!! Frustrating as Hell though.....

Im stuck in Watson Lake waiting on a water pump right now. Noticed the old dodge running warmer than normal coming up muncho, and when i came down the back side she puked all her coolant, so i let her coast across the yukon line into town
