So with all the flying to the sets, is there any revenue left at the end of the day? I mean most times you're flying in to set / check, but with zero yield. Then one wolverine for a set. Those furs must go for a tremendous amount of money to recoup all your (flying and other) expenses, I'm guessing?

Hello Isaac Recently I found out I have kidney cancer, so I had surgery they took 1/2 kidney. Had my 6 months CT and no sign cancer. Except for 2 12mm lumps in my lungs but they are not growing thank God. Reason I am messaging you is simply how hard is it to fly a plane like you both have. I have no interest for flying near city's ect I want to bush fly exactly like in this amazing youtube jewel, except I want to bring my Brand 6new custom highbanker sloose Box. I need too get to places were the Rivers meet the ocean I am 52 and this has been a Dream of mine to be able to have the freedom to fly myself into remote areas and gold hunt. There is more loose gold up in Alaska in the oceans then land excluding Australia. I don't know how long I have and I don't want to know. Simply want to fly and have fun locating gold. Well thank you for the video Absulootly amasing video real pleasure to watch for brief moment I had forgotten I had cancer. Thanks again Sean from Vancouver bc Canada 🇨🇦
@isaaclandecker907 Жыл бұрын
Hey Sean! Getting a license costs around $8-$10K USD. Then you’d probably spend the next few months just practicing off airfield landings. I’d guess for $60K you could likely buy an airplane and get a license. There are lots of programs around that are set up to teach people. Good luck with beating cancer!! Sounds like you are well on your way to doing that. You have lots of gold to find!

By the way kidney cancer they got all of it when they cut it in half. Sadly I have 2 12mm round spots in both lungs so. If I am going to do this I need to get the training sooner then later. in 2021 I caught 9 in my wolverine setups I believe. Last year I didn't have as many sets out, so I caught less marten. It is really common though. Better to put marten traps out for 2 weeks in an area and then put the 330s out.

Good stuff Isaac, you got the bug and that lasts a lifetime buddy. Only thing I regret is I didn't record my experiences as you other than writing a diary of sorts until later after I got my pilots licence in the 80's. That is a unique way to trap as it works so well in many, many ways to get to the fur and cover the area. Good luck with your ventures oh, just heard th wwhhhoooo from you on the wolverine catch, great! I save all the claws on lynx I catch and taxidermy them with a piece of rawhide as the hanging string and sell them as little mirror hanger for your vehicle or whatever, I had a pair in my plane looked dandy. I will send a pic of one to your email. Once you get your line established and the known hangouts of the species you're after can take what you want quicker, so more time to expand eh? How many days between checks average ya think? how's plane running?
@isaaclandecker9072 жыл бұрын
Yeah! I really started making the videos so I could watch them when I get older and sort of relive the glory days. Yeah! Figuring out the area on the line is the key. I went 1 time a week on average.
