I think he just lacked the motivation to endure the hardship. In other words, he doesn't want and need the money that much. They need to find contenstants who are both skilled survivalist AND are hungry for the win. otherwise we will keep getting this unsatistying premature tap outs .

Yes...when food is available, you need to stockpile all you can. That is how the Native Americans survived through the harsh winters when many food sources become scarce or non-existent. I used to love this show. Every season I still get pumped when its coming..... and Im not sure why because its such a let down now. It should be called "Whiners" not "Alone". Every episode is just listening to people whine and absolutely nothing about survival. The winner is always He/She who whines the least smh. Its getting really really old.
