My partner and I went to pottery painting this week and painted a mug for each other since we both love hot drinks, so on Valentine’s Day we are going to pick up our mugs and that’s our gift for each other. We also are going to print all our pictures we have on our phone of our memories and write dates/ little things about the day for us or our future kids to look back on later in life.

I decorate our kitchen table for Valentine’s Day the evening before, after the kids go to bed… flowers, balloons, candy, stuffed animals. It’s definitely extra, but my kids are excited to go to bed the night before knowing they will wake up to it. And normally we go to Chick-fil-a to eat as a family… no reservations needed and the milkshakes are fantastic!

Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday solely for the merch! I love hearts and inorporate them into my year-round decor. I love getting little valentine presents for my kids (they're in elementary school). I typically get them a small box of chocolates and a mylar balloon and some cutesy little plushie or toy. And my husband and I usually cook a nice meal at home and watch a movie on TV with lots of snacks-- nothing fancy.

When I was younger, for a valentines, my mom surprised me and my siblings with a valentines lunch/dinner. She decorated the table with pink and red hearts and made themed drinks around valentines. I will NEVER forget how special that day made me feel. Me and my siblings always talk about it as a core memory because we felt so much love and it was a nice surprise to come home from school! I have a four year old daughter and almost two year old son , their birthdays are in January and February and of course coming off of Christmas, so gifts have been a lot . But I went to the dollar store and got little baskets , some stuffed toys , and candy and everything was under $20 for both of them total . They don’t know the difference price wise and I think they’ll have a lot of fun having a little valentine love ❤️
