The sax sounds lovely, nice job Alba! As others pointed out, this would benefit greatly from the addition of a bass player. Also, you need a higher resolution camera, I found the images fuzzy on a desktop screen. But a great start, for sure!

In Alone Together, you play the bari like an alto. You play so slightly, that I can almost hear your breathing, that takes a lot of skill. and yet there's still some Ella in there if you know what i mean. Ella has always been my favorite horn player ;) . Cherokee is tough to solo, and I thought you sounded less confident. Hey, if you can make the bari fly, don't lose sight of that touch or approach. You've got good ideas in your soloing, so keep it up!

You should hear her on the alto!!! She just about blew the roof off a theater in Sweden this passed December. She went there with Joan Chamorro, Alba A. and Elia B. They played 4 nights with a Swedish boogie-woogie pianist and his son a drummer. That SAJB players were outstanding.

Alba en su elemento: el saxo (barítono en este caso). Tranquila, relajada, confiada, sabe que es una grande con ese instrumento, pienso que le ha costado mucho "creérselo", cuestión de timidez, supongo, pero ya la tenemos ahí, entre los más grandes. Me ha gustado sobre todo en "These Foolish Things", sobresaliente interpretación, quizá porque el tema da para mucho lucimiento. A los acompañantes no los conocía, la verdad. El batería Pau Planas cumple bien, le daría un notable. El guitarrista Sander Peña queda muy en segundo plano y sin un solo que llevarse a la boca, así que no puedo juzgarle demasiado. Ah, creo que es la primera grabación que veo de Alba Esteban sin el maestro Chamorro por medio. Se me hace raro, lo confieso ... 😉

Suena muy bien! Me gusta mucho el sonido del baritone pero no me interesa tocarlo :) Tenía un baritone de Selmer VI, y lo vendí.
