After spending 15 weeks doing a close read of Corbin's text and discussing the ideas in depth, we called on Tom to help review the book and understand its impact and enduring philosophical relevance.

Thankyou to everyone involved esp Tom, this was fascinating. Is their another one coming?I think Corbins creative vision is necessary to fill the gaps in Perennialism .Whilst adherence to orthodox religion is the best course for humanity in a collective social/spiritual sense, we also need to make sense of what lies outside of it ie the value and place of heresey and Atheism., thats why i was particularly struck by the comments about mormonism The Quran does inform us that all things worship god knowingly or unknowingly and that his mercy covers everything and overrides his wrath. so if we start at this point we can try and locate things properly. I do have some reservations about Corbin in regard to Ibn arabi ,his approach is too feminine and to integrate the masculinity/virility of Sheikh Al Akbars Arab character and thus world vision.

The feminine creative vision and spiritual vision is greatly needed for balance in all things given the imbalance of male dominance in defining religion ( women too;) So thank you thank you so much! ! It's good to know the feminine is fully present in Corbin's approach.

Yes, the obvious different shades are hard to ignore. This is a personal grooming dilemma & aesthetic that I find odd.
