yess i'm so happy you are doing more GOT7!! The lyrics are about two people who are already in a relationship. Their partner keeps criticizing their actions, but when she has those same actions, they become the right thing. It's a toxic relationship, she keeps creating fights, and testing her partner's limits to the point that they get nervous when everything is going well in the relationship because they know a new fight will happen soon.

What this song is about is being angry about the rules being different for the girl than for the pov. It's about trying to connect and wanting to lift the elephant on the table but the other person wanting none of it, and the point when it comes too much and breaks the camel's back. "Why are you allowed to do this but when i do it, you want to break up?"

In GOT7's "If you Do" MV the boys are so angry because the whole storyline is about how they put all this effort into their relationship with this girl and they really cared about her, but she was so indifferent -- as you heard her say: " If you want to breakup that's fine. Do whatever you want, I guess I will just go to bed." -- that she broke their heart. They are pretty much questioning, "Why am I spending so much energy in this relationship for someone who doesn't seem to care about me?" As you can see, each of the members are all dressed up and looking good to impress the girl and she can't even make the effort to spend time with them. She was their everything, but the relationship was pretty much one sided, because she didn't feel the same way about them. And she couldn't even be bothered to pretend like she cared.

If You Do was abt pov of being trapped in a manipulative and toxic relationship with their lover. It has double standards where if their lover does it, it's okay. But when they do the same their lover would immediately bring up break up. Or if they do make mistakes, their ultimate weapon is their tears. Tho they love their lover so much and they want to deepen their love even more for them, the lover won't give them a chance. They even talked abt the trauma they have in the lyrics "even in my sleep I mumble "I'll do better". I don't know if you noticed it the end but there's a voiceover there "It's up to you if you wanna break up. I don't care. Just do whatever you want. It doesn't matter to me. I'll just go to sleep." So in the end they broke up and they're mad and hurt, and also bc it seems the break up is like nothing to their lover.

Yayyy more Got7!! If you do was soo iconic when it was released. Can you believe this is the same year as Just Right 😆. Also the footwork choreo had everyone at the time in a chokehold haha. 2015 was such a good year for kpop 🔥 The lyrics are about two people already in a (toxic) relationship; they're angry about the hypocrisy of the other partner - "if you do it's good, if i do it's over" - and how the partner uses their words to play around with them.

2015-2017 was such a good era of kpop!!! I feel like it was when there was the most respect among fandoms; don't get me wrong, there were still some pretty nasty moments, but I feel like it was when you could get people to give credit where credit was due most of the time & people had a more open mind~ like, I never considered myself part of Got7's fans, BUT I knew & would proudly say this song & its dance were top tier; it's still on my list of best kpop comebacks^.^
