Qatars drs and track layout is quite different. The only 2 DRS zones in Hungary are packed together and short t the start of the lap, and the rest of the track has no drs and the corners provide little opportunity to overtake especially if you’ve got someone ahead who is defending for their life. Qatar, meanwhile, has 1nice, juicy DRS zone that are spread out across the lap. The corners are quite high speed with little heavy braking zones, but the DRS makes up for that by sending cars wheel to wheel into these corners, out of which the quicker car on better tyres will come out victorious.

Look at Lando in Silverstone this year saying that the Mercedes joined very unsafely when they were miles off. And that Lewis-Max crash would have happened regardless.
