I only have dried curry leaves. Can you put them in the onion mixture while it’s still in the pan?

I think if you put dry leaves for few mins in the water and then try to add in the mixture, it will taste more fresh.. give a try. I stay in Australia and I do get dried curry leaves and pudina leaves and I try this method only.
