Nah, state pride. I always root for the Texas team regardless. It's what makes the in state rivalries mean more than others across the nation. It's like sibling rivalry, we can mess with and bad mouth each other, but the moment someone else does, that's not flying because you're not in the family. It also just means more in Texas, particularly football. So, not ever rooting for a team out of state vs a team from in state. Ex: The most ideal outcome imo would be having a magical season with Texas and Texas A&M in the natty...and Texas winning of course 😂. Forget the rest of the country! Texas 💪!!! While the OU Campus in Norman is definitely landlocked, across the state in Catoosa (a suburb of Tulsa, where OU has another campus) there is the furthest inland port in the US. There is also a combination Navy/Air Force base in OKC.

SEC West has submitted a petition to have pre-playoff games in Texas and Louisiana in late Aug. or early September. Survivors will be allowed to play in playoff games at the end of the season.
