Hey everyone, so not too many of my subscribers know this but Horizon Zero Dawn is one of my favourite games and having just finished Horizon Forbidden West I am ready to make tons of videos on it!
So this video is a bunch of the funny moments involving Aloy.

Yeah they made her hilarious in this sequel it was funny 😂 and her facial expressions were really good they made these characters feel alive in HFW which I loved in the 1st one they looked lifeless no facial expressions at all

The moment when the insult goes right over the CEO's head was definitely my favourite apart from basically *every* sassy banter she and Sylens exchange. Those two play so well off of each other.

I’m so glad someone made a compilation of these moments ! Aloy is such a savage and gives 0 fucks in this game. I just have a question, I’m not a native speaker and I’m struggling to understand what Varl says around 0:22 “anointed” ? What does he mean by that ?

It's a title she received last game. Her tribe thinks of her as being chosen by the goddess, and therefore special by definition. This, despite the fact that she was shunned from birth and had to win her acceptance the hard way. She hates the name, so he was using it sarcastically. The word comes from the old religious practice of using sacred oil or ointment to give blessings.

@@Vevelty for their Unfortunate backwaters.... *traditions* , ways they have like a Myth ranking of being 'anointed' by their Mythical Misunderstanding of GAIA or something if what I remembered. and that it was now commonly mentioned a lot now after Aloy came out of cradle 09 a 2nd time in her life. in front of those waiting Nora mountain-worshippers, that saw that event.

The Anointed is a figure in Nora legend which stands as the physical manifestation of the Great Mother. Aloy received the title when she opened the cradle facility in the Sacred Lands near the end of the first game, since to the Nora she was literally Jesus: the Daughter of a god.

Lance Reddick is amazing in the way he uses his voice. Such a loss that he died so early and won't be in any possible sequel to this one. He's also the concierge of the Continental in the John Wick movies BTW.

Lol why does she hate the Raiment so much? It actually looks super comfy! Almost like a Snuggy. Am so glad it's an actual armor that you can wear & it's actually a pretty solid armor too w good buffs! Sucks that it's the only armor in the game that you can't dye at the dyer tho.

I think it's more of the fact that the outfit represents Liz. Aloy admired and respected her so much that I think it would be a disgrace for her to wear Dr. Sobeck's clothes.

Because it's creepy as fuck that the ceo is basically forcing her to LARP as Elizabeth Sobeck. This isn't a case of a family member handing down an antique gown as a memento or something, this is someone believing that she is Sobeck's reincarnation and insisting that she pretend to be her. I'm not pretending to be my grandmother when I wear her coat, but I'd feel weird af if someone shoved a Finnish Eura at me at gunpoint and said I'm now my ancestor.

@@BiologicalClock That makes sense, but that's not really the way she reacted. She actually looked at it & reacted to the outfit itself with disgust. Sort of like no way am I wearing that ugly thing. Besides, they weren't being forceful at all during her initial reaction. It wasn't til she refused that they resorted to force. Thus her initial reaction had nothing to do with what you're saying which kind of makes your argument invalid. It wasn't the reaction but the way she reacted that seemed strange to me. The look of disgust she had on her face as soon as she saw it.

It is just me or all these sighs during the conversation seems a bit too emotional for the situation? Don't get me wrong, the dialogues are cool and well made but sometimes I find the tones of the dubbing a bit out of tune and in the long run is a bit boring.
