the one thing this really makes gaming harder is the learning curve of getting a good layout for your game... i have got a steam controller since day one and a steam deck too. you basically have to set up your controller like a mouse/keyboard and map things onto it to be this accurate. i did that at the beginning but to come up with a good layout for each game and then remember it when playing something else and coming back is a huge issue. gamepads need to evolve past the dual analog stick meta we are currently in and give proper gyros for aiming. besides that, i might get this pad later down the line though.

Hm I'm really impressed with the accuracy of the gyro but think the layout of the controler is too limited, would it be possible to mod a controller to take gyro inputs from a board like this.

I feel if I was ever to use mainly gyro I would need the controller to be separate in my hands like a joycon or quest controllers having it as just one unit still his hard to get used to to me

how well would the 8-way stick work for flick stick? it seems like it could be a massive upgrade over an analog stick since it would make calibration a lot simpler. (i'm still mad that flick stick auto-calibration doesn't exist yet)

the Alpakka is designed so it does not rely on double inputs (as touchpads or thumbstick/flickstick), instead it focuses on removing the limitations for using gyro ratcheting as a single input. So we never tried using the 8-directional as flickstick, but we may try at some point

quick question i just build my controller, but the back buttons are stuck. i have tried removing and reinstalling the back buttons several times. i cant seem to move them at all.. tommorow i am going to take the controller apart again. but how can i fisx the back buttons. everything else seems to work fine. hope someone can help me out.

@@inputlabsi think i got it. i took some sandpaper to the buttons untill the fit in easier and actually pivoted. Then i had to place the pivot point just right. taak me about an hour of carefully anding and refitting. now lets test it out. Where can i find the button input to change the gyro sensitvity?

Thanks this will help. i had alott of trouble witht the touch capacative phexaxon not always pausing or actiavting the gyro. atleast not consistently. i thought is was the usb connection. ia m going to tinker with a few of the settins. thanks alot.

is there a way to translate sensitivity to everygame so you have consistent movement across all games?

It is the same than when using a mouse, each game uses their own mouse sensitivities values and their own defaults. So the adjustments have to be done manually game per game.

Amazing controller, I’m considering getting one because playing fps with KB-M with 1 cm almond nails is not great, could you try ULTRAKILL or Titanfall 2 or competitive games like Valorant/Overwatch?, and I don’t think you will or can showcase it but playing PrimeHack with this must be awesome

Yo can you test this on valorant because of how riot blocks other controller softwares except rewasd it would be interesting to see if this would work on valorant

Even if xinput does not work in Valorant, mouse and keyboard profiles (FPS WASD for example) are guaranteed to work. We will try at some point.
