ALPAMAYO - Peruvian Beauty (Climbing French Direct)

Alpamayo is a mountain in Peruvian Andes with elevation of 5947m. This almost perfect ice pyramid was several times declared the most beautiful mountain in the world. The mountain was named after the nearby village of Alpamayo (in Quechua Turbid water). First climbed in 1951by Belgian climber George Kogan.

***** Hello Petr, Cool ! yes we spend 6 days in High Camp. My son had to abort the Alpamayo summit about 100 meters from the top because of the snow conditions (too much snow). On your video, the 2 yellow North Face tents at Moraine Camp are our tents (on our way down). Merry Christmas.
