As Peru: I enjoyed the commentary and thought you guys did a good job. When I invaded Argentina the point wasn’t to conquer them completely, it was to just take a few centers, and after ~2 years we came to an agreement.

Red Russia here, very entertaining game! Fun fact: the bounces when Romania and I were fighting were actually staged so that White Russia and Poland didn't gain anything from it. That may be the reason we also had such a good alliance for thebrest of the game. Great video as always!

You two were a great team! Even if I was ticked off at the time by your continued attacks on White Russia, I can't deny you had pretty good results (albeit that it would have been even better if you had somehow contained Japan long enough to win).

@@floridamandiplomacy I probably could have stopped Japan from winning if I attacked them sooner, we had a non-aggression pact going for 1-2 years. If I didn't take that pact, I could have stopped them, maybe even solo-ed myself.

Hello, Japan here! 1. Beiyang hold in Fall 1920 was something that they ordered and told me they were doing. Yay! Free SC 🙂 2. Yes, GB and I were talking at that point about the division of scs from America. 3. I was sad you didn't talk about the enormous sc drop for GB in the second to last turn 4. Computation for vscc was scuffed indeed! No lies there about confusion 5. Not ignoring top 4 players is a great idea ❤ 6. I did feel like missing the big SC drop for Great Britain was a mistake on my part, since it really stood out to me when it happened and was definitely a big deal. A very well played game, and I look forward to seeing what you do on the next map where we meet...

As Germany/HRE in this game, I can give some extra information that the two speakers here missed out on, especially the absolute insanity that was the "Brussel's Pact", aka the Germany-Britain-France hidden alliance/stabfest that defined our relations in the early game, we had multi-hour calls each year. The Dutch dismantling was 100% planned as part of mutual cooperation, and the subsequent unmentioned replacement of the original french player was the product. At 20 minutes in, there was claims of a south American triple at that time, but brazil really fumbled the ball and got coalitioned. As for my relations with Poland, i'll say that the map dynamics heavily favor the conflict, and I had to get the jump, RR stabbing first materialized some really strong potential gains for me that made it undeniable. It certainly wasn't kind, by any means, but it was an open door, and propping up a dying power in this type of map doesn't do any good, especially when compared to Russia's potential growth. The second stab was less planned, but the absolute stalling of the RR front made the situation a lot less appealing to maintain. As for Russia, I attribute a lot of his success to his great tactical skills balanced by his strong alliance with Romania, that to my knowledge held for almost the entirety of the game, maybe it led to the Japanese solo, but secured his win pretty confidently.

Always thrilled to get more behind the scenes information! Multi-hour calls? Is that literal, as in hours of conversations over voice? If so, wow! Impressive dedication. I think your stabs made sense, albeit that it was terribly tragic it had to happen at the expense of our dear King of Poland. And I agree that the Russian showed great tactical competency along with having a clearly game-shifting relationship with Romania. The two of them together were quite a powerhouse team.
