Hello , can you explain this advert please? As it looks like if your parents are split up and live seperatly, all you need to do is buy a new boiler and your parents will get back together. Its not a great image to portray to children of seperated parents and can be upsetting to the children and parents also. As a parent that is split from a partner, id hate for my children to see this advert, it gives false hope that there parents will get back together and have a 'happy ending' . Happy endings dont always happen, and also whos to say that parents getting back together is the 'happy ending' everyone wants.

I agree, I love the idea of a world where things could be fixed that easily but it’s BS. I’d also have felt sorry for my kids if they’d seen this back in the day and thought they could just wish their family back to gether

Can I get some context here please? Are we saying that if you’re heating breaks/fails you should leave your partner and kids until it’s fixed and all can be well again?
