Very helpful. Thank you for this. I used it for the Alpha InTec 40GS2 the valves are blue though but logically opening them restored the pressure and REMEMBER TO CLOSE VALVES AFTERWARDS

Well i have had the hybrid system installed for only two weeks and now i get no outside temperature displayed and the date gets replaced with "MB Error" (Modbus i am assuming) . I can still turn the radiators on manually but i cannot hear anything from the heat pump. Any ideas anybody as the installers don't know whats wrong.

I'm guessing but I'd like to understand, does the heat pump feed into the combi boiler and then from there the combi heats the water up further if needed?

I've got the external temp sensor with this for weather compensation. It seems to work well matching the flow temperature to the heating requirement, taking into account the outdoor temperature and how quickly the room is heating up. For example it raises the flow temperature in colder weather or if the room is slow to heat up. I'm not sure we get much gas saving as the boiler only modulates down to 4.9kw and our max heat loss is 7kw. I'd say the house is more comfortable kept at an even temperature with similar gas consumption. Is it better to to set the controller to learning mode or not? Does the offset value adjust the temperature value from the external probe? So a lower offset would mean a steeper flow temp curve? Thanks.

I have set my timings. I have set the Eco (lowest) temp. But How do I set the goal temp for my timings… I’m currently not in my ‘on’ time and when I go to change the temp it goes to an override (of course) but I don’t want to override I just want to set the temp for when the ‘on’ time comes.

@ yes!! So when the heating is on as in, it is during an hour when the clock is timed for ‘on’ … you spin the dial to the temp you want it for. Similar to the cocktail, if you leave it on 19 for example and it turns off, it will turn off and turn on aiming for 19. Sometimes in the evening I have had to turn it up (spin and middle click…) left it on say 21.. it turns off at 10pm and then I wake up to 21 degrees at 8am so 😂😂 gonna be getting a Hive very soon haha

At around 50 seconds we describe how to increase the room temperature, this will work for decreasing the temperature. Simply turn the dial until you reach your desired temperature and them press the thermometer button. For any further assistance, please give our team a call on 0344 871 8760.

Hi Allen, commissioning needs to be done physically at the end of an installation, however once commissioned the system can be accessed via www.smartech.alpha-innovation.co.uk on any laptop or computer.

How does it use currently gas/electric prices if on Agile for Electric which changes every 30mins and tracker on gas which changes daily??

Hi, gas and electricity prices are added manually into the Smartech control, which works well for those on a fixed tariff. Currently this is not smart grid ready so would be unable to track frequent changes to prices.

To reset an error code on any combi we would suggest closing any taps. There is no need to isolate the cold mains water supply to the boiler as part of a standard fault reset.

I can't set the party mode or ecot higher than 14.4° and when I increase the target temperature in timed mode it always resets to 14.4° before the target temperature is reached. I'm constantly having to manually turn the heating on and it gets very cold overnight. Is something broken?

0:21 But I don't have a toggle button on the circle that says Alpha on the Boiler. Mine is an ALPHA EVOKE 28 I have no timer at all which means I have to keep turning the Boiler on & off everytime I need heating. My rents just gone up £200 per month even though my landlord does nothing. Can ANYONE PLEASE HELP ON WHAT I CAN GET FOR A APLHA EVOKE 200 JUST SO I can wake up warm. I don't even have radiators dials on my radiators so everytime I have the Heating on I have to have every radiator on in a 2 Bedroom Massionette! PLEASE HELP ANYONE?! 😢
