So for the Tundra-Gun thing, if you shoot a horde (like in the 2nd power high round room) , after a zombie completely freezes and stops moving, if you throw a yellow snowball at that zombie, that zombies will shatter and transfer that frozen effect from the Tundra-Gun to all nearby zombies, effectively chaining them. This can be repeated for all 10 yellow snowballs. Meaning, technically, you can get a full charge of your specialist in about 2 shots from the Tundra-Gun if you perfectly chain all 10 yellow snowballs on each shot. Theoretically, you could get 26 special weapons worth of charge in a fully pack-a-punched Tundra-Gun. I play tag to much 💀

@@warv6552 yes it has a freeze effect. On co-op another person can chain your tundra gun shot with anything including knifing, as long as the person who shot the tundra keeps it out. but to chain it yourself/solo you have to use snowballs to keep it going

Voyage of Despair is among the most rewarding maps ever when actually learning it. All its Side Easter Eggs and the main quest are actually rewarding and feel challenging to do. I would even argue that this map probably got among the most love from the devs a Zombie Map has ever received and if you take your time to dig down that rabbit hole you can clearly notice how fleshed out it is. Now for the actual hottake which is more or less a conclusion of what I've said - hating Voyage is more of a Skill-/Knowledge Issue than anything. (I will forever defend this map with my life)

I agree with the Kraken being meh and the layout is really tricky to learn. And of course people have different opinions on different maps, that's just normal. I 100% agree, the NZ41 and SVK 9MM(one of the suppressed sniper rifles) are my favorite weapons ever because when you pap the NZ 41 once in a while you shoot it can trigger a field that can distract all zombies like the acid gat and when you pap SVK 9MM when you hip fire, it can turn into a shot gun and when you aim it can turn into a really powerful sniper rifle, on round 13, the pap SVK can one shot Brenners and one shot the Wustlings until round 28

And my hot take is that if your desire for long-term support is the precondition for your enjoyment of MWZ, you didn’t like it enough to to begin with for that to even be true. If it did get rigorous updates, you’d say they weren’t enough or weren’t to your tastes. As with Vanguard and Outbreak, if you didn’t like the original vision put forward, you wouldn’t like a doubled down version of that. Best for everyone if you admit that.

Hot take blood of the dead is severely under rated! It has some of the best sound design in zombies history, multiple different ways to speedrun the easter egg not to mention I enjoy doing it, fun for high rounds, very cool side easter eggs if you get bored and want to try something new, magma gat is super fun to use, unique zombie shield I could go on and on I love this map!

With the whole casual and hardcore EEs in the same map. They should definitely make it so that in the casual EE you’re following weaver’s(or whoever we may be following/taking orders from) instructions as normal then his team backstabs you in the final map but in the hardcore EE it should be that we then follow someone else and learn in the first or second map that whoever we were originally following were evil. Maybe have it so that it’s like in the casual EE we don’t really know what we’re doing but when we do the final EE we find out that we were helping the “allies” take over the world or were actually demons from the dark aether who wanted control over the world. Then in the hardcore EE we go and help some other demon who’s left that group and throughout the casual EE we hear him through radios but only briefly but in the hardcore one we get to tune or upgrade the radio and listen to him and then we stop the other demons or whatever. This is kind of a bland story that I thought of but I hope whoever read this got the idea. It would mean that the hardcore players already get to know what’s about to happen and are given their own hidden quest like a proper EE

Here is my hot take: Dead of the night is bsacically the exact same map as shadows of evil. Same kind of tone and feel with a cast of characters crazy creatures to fight and not to mention allistors annilator is alot like the apothican servant with its croud control damage but better. I love dead of the night and i dont mind picking up parts for side quests it adds to the immersion of the map. Like holy shit a zombies out break just happened quick build shit you can find around the mansion.

Ok, I sorta lost my tier list so this is gonna take a while. And quick disclaimer, I’m ranking everything, even og spec ops and the extinction maps. Oh and I think extinction, ww2 and vanguard are underrated so that’s why those maps are a little higher on my list (and I dislike cw and adore bo4). Here’s the list: S tier: Ancient evil, shadows of evil, origins, zombies in spaceland, dead of the night and Zetsubou no shima. A tier: Ix, Der final reich, der eisendrache, rave in the redwoods, mob of the dead and revelations, voyage of despair, blood of the dead. B tier: Gorod Krovi, buried, mauer der toten, grösten haus, shangri la, call of the dead, five, ascension, shaolin shuffle, attack of the radioactive thing, verrückt and shi no numa reborn, mayday, nightfall, classified, tag der toten (I know how much Joltz despises this map). C tier: operation deadbolt, the archon, kino der toten, der riese, the giant, die machine, forsaken, alpha omega, moon, awakening, exodus, og mw3 survival. D tier: spec ops of both mw3 and mw2, firebase z, point of contact, Nuketown, town, die rise, TranZit, beast from beyond. F tier: Der anfang, Terra maledicta, the whole of exo zombies, bus depot, farm, shi no numa, nacht der untoten (no mercy, glad for what it introduced but it’s a bad map). This took a while and I said I wouldn’t do it but I did it. Oh and I haven’t played/seen enough content/praise/hate for ww2 dlc so didn’t rank that so I lied again sorry.

Honestly. Dead of the Night is really such a great map in zombies. Some people tend to complain about the amount of parts BUT when you’re doing the pap quest most of the time you’re going to come across the parts you need. Like if you’re escorting the ghost to the cemetery you can pick up a shield part, the vase (if it’s in there), and the poop. Or if you’re heading to the greenhouse for the nosferatus you can pick up the sulfur, another shield part, and the vase again if it’s in the dining room. I feel like the only issue is trying to exactly memorize where each one is but if you remember the locations of where they are and remember to grab them while doing pap, it shouldn’t be much of an issue

Cold war perk system was the best for casuals since it didnt take long to upgrade them and i dont know about you but i like to jump in and do some high rounds and not grind outbreak for 5 hours to even have fully functioning jug. In my opinion field upgrades should be upgradable but leave perks and ammo mods alone. I like that they removed the perk limit since it makes you feel really powerful with all perks fully upgraded and like nothing can touch you. So yeah it feels good for the casual but they are a bit too op and we would benefit if cold war perks were a bit weaker. I mean jug is balanced but like mule kick giving you unlimited ammo and almost unlimited grenades is busted. I like that they finally made death perception useful outside of the one ee step in IX and i like deadshot being useful but speed cola functioning as timeslip as well is a bit too good. I like the new tombstone and quick revive. Also elemntal pop is well balanced since electric cherry was a bit underpowered by itself. Phd slider was perfect almost a bit too good. I just think the slide distance is super op on it.

Alpha Omega had way better wonder weapons, side EEs, EE, characters, layout than SOE, getting the sword on SOE is a bad process(not the upgrade process though, I love the upgrade process), the Apathicon Servant barely has any ammo, Alpha has the GOAT Rushmore, and the EE on SOE is on of the worst, the only good character on SOE is Jeff Goldblum, though the first 10 rounds on SOE are so much fun with beast mode and the Margwa but when you are trying to set up with wonder weapons, it can be a pain, sometimes I don’t get parts to the Apathicon Servant until the 20s while on AO I have the electric Ray Gun mark 2 fully upgraded which is miles better than the Apathicon Servant because of its infinite ammo and its stun ability but it can still kill on the high rounds, high rounds on AO are so much fun

While I haven’t played a LOT of the maps on there honestly, I didn’t hate the list from what I have played. I respect FBZ in A (underrated map), Origins in C (overrated map), and Voyage in B. While we are of course entitled to our own opinion, IX in F seemed harsh. I don’t love IX either and prefer Voyage, but I’m curious why it’s in F. I also wouldn’t put MWZ in F. I haven’t really played AO so no personal opinion there, but it is widely hated so it’s interesting.

The ray gun is not worth picking up anymore, i get it’s a classic but when you can upgrade your rarity and triple pack it’s not as good as it used to be, maybe if they add attachments to it like regular guns but exclusive to the ray gun (maybe be able to make a mark 2 build) or have a weapon skill upgrade like in Cold War exclusive to the ray gun would make it exciting to get from the box again

this might get a lot of hate but I think adding in elements of liquid davidium or Nebulium Plasma back into the game would give lots of replay value. back in the launch of bo3 I would boot up random games of shadows and grind for liquid davidium while playing videos in the background just vibing casually. Now in zombies all there is to do is, easter egg, camo grind or high rounds. And once you complete the easter egg and also unlocked the mastery camo, all you're left with is high rounds. I love going for high rounds but adding in a feature were you're unlocking currency while at it would be awesome. I think adding something like 'Teeth' from cod ghosts extinction would add a lot of replay value and something to grind for after doing the easter egg 100th time or unlocking the mastery camo months ago.

Hot take: Kino Der Toten and Moon are done way better in BO1 than in BO3. They both seemed way too bright and a tad bit over designed in their Chronicles releases and it stripped the dreadful and creepy atmosphere their original counterparts knocked out of the park with.

I've been going back to bo3 and bo4 more recrntly. I think Elixirs are balanced. However, instant special weapons are crutch. Although I'm not a fan of Cold War zombies. I loved the perk system.

I hate the fact you can dashboard in bo3 to save gobblegums. It completely ruined public matches to this day. I used to like playing with randoms but now every game just turns into a solo game so what's the point.

Hot take : Verrückt is underrated mainly for atmosphere. No map will ever be as unsettling than it Hot take: zombies story line should have kept going down the government conspiracy/ yazi occult rabbit hole for its story. A lot more than it did, I stead of the ending of Moon (which I liked , not saying it was bad )

My hot take is that ckassified and tag are objectively better the five and call of the dead And that the bo3 version of origins is a direct downgrade from the bo2 version Also while your right about the dashnoard thing with elixers, i still like elixirs more sense you can use them on command instead of it being luck based, meaning not only are they just more convenient, but you can combo them together unlike gobblgums

The 9 wonder weapon is actually good. It just doesn't come out of the box as amazing as you have to upgrade it to get it to the good part of it. This is bothersome as I think most wonder weapons come out of the box amazing and then come superb or even feel or look superb when upgraded. Seikos kiss or whatever doesn't have really any different look and now the weapon is finally viable. I would still take this weapon over the OG five wonder weapon or even classifieds version of it.

Cold War's progression against Vanguard's is really a give and take. The actual upgrades you get in CW are way better than in Vanguard, but doing it in the menus is boring and makes you too strong at the start of a match. In Vanguard, upgrading in game is way more satisfying and forces you to strategize more, but the "upgrades" are lame. Take Juggernog for instance. In CW, you spawn in with the default 150 HP, and default Jugg gives an addition 50 HP. But once fully upgraded, you not only get the standard 250 HP, but also multiple different useful upgrades like the Dying Wish ability. In Vanguard, you spawn with only 100 HP, but buying Jugg once doesn't give you 250 HP and then can be upgraded further. Instead, it only gives 50 at a time, so the only "upgrade" that actually feels like one is the 4th time you buy it. So I agree that in-game upgrading is better, but the actual upgrades should make you stronger rather than just bring you to where you should be after buying the perk once. Hopefully Gulf War combines the two together.

Vanguard’s in game upgrade system was brought down massively by the point system. There was always too much to spend points on at any given moment especially with the extortionate pack a punch costs

They changed it so all weapons could be on an even playing field in regards to earning points, which complements being able to spawn in with whatever you want. But it's simply too slow and takes way too long to earn points in these games. Unfortunately Gulf War is most likely going to keep this system too

It was especially awful on the round based maps because at least on Der Anfang and Terra Maledicta you got points for completing the objectives. In the round base you were stuck with the new points systems where getting the points required to upgrade all the perks and fully pack your guns was hell on earth. Also it brings back crutch perks one of the biggest criticisms of the old perk system because why would upgrade Stamin-Up or Speed Cola when both Juggernog and Quick Revive are so much better.

Dashboarding makes gums too op, I know the argument is just "don't use them", but 90% of people will use them (yes ik it's a contradiction), bo4's system was better, it incentivizes you to actually save them, and bo3s dashboarding basically nullified an entire system in the game, while also giving people god powers that make it impossible to fail/die
