I LOVE it! I need to rebuild mine. Mine was pre-built, and unfortunately, it just stopped working, and I couldn't get a refund. I didn't get to use for very long either! I couldn't repair it, because they glued all of the electronics together with epoxy! I'm thinking of using a fine mesh screen, but I need to build a voltage multiplier first. Luckily, that's not too hard. I wish I had more time to do this stuff, because I love it! I really like this build! It's simple, yet very compact and very well-made! I also saw your radium compass video at Radioactive Minerals and Objects! That was really cool too! Keep up the good work! I like it a lot! Thank you for sharing this! 👍

Very creative and interesting detector. What's both the voltage and distance between wire and copper plate? I will try to make a similar device.

Merhaba, Gamma ışını detektörü yapmak istiyoruz. Bunun için sintilatör bir kristale ve bir de sezyum 137'ye ihityacımız var. Bunları nerelerden temin edebiliriz biliyor musunuz?

Nice! This is verry cool considering all theese parts are easy to get hold of Gieger counter kits are pretty expensive so this is a nice cheap project

Please notice that a spark detector detects alpha particles *only*. It will not detect beta- or gamma radiation. However, alpha detectors are really expensive, so this type of detector is a great add-on to a more conventional beta/gamma geiger counter.
