Hello. I really enjoyed your videos, as I discovered them recently. Can you tell me the model of the equipment you use to measure the laser power, the one in the box that appears at 18m:30s and the website with the respective link where I can buy it? I noticed that you managed to measure a power of around 0.223 whats, with an applied voltage of 5.00v. Is correct?

If you want to know which of the laser diodes are strong then look for the ones whom have pins. Make sure to not take out the heatsink because First, its almost impossible to get rid of Second, powerful laser diodes can get hot very easily and even a simple metal around it can take the heat out of the laser diode. You can power it straight out of the dvd burner, it's that simple. In order to burn things with it, you need lens at the right distance in order to focus all the light. Don't worry about breaking the laser diode, they are durable
