Doesn't matter. AI should be allowed to train on all human data, because the benefits to humanity greatly outweigh any complaints you can think of to disallow it. If it has the chance to save my life, or the lives of people I care about, I will advocate for the development of AI until we create such tools.

Websites can reject web crawlers like Google by setting up their policy config file called robots.txt If openai can use youtube videos for training or not depends on youtube's policy.

...yes that's correct. youtube was designed for human consumption. and the level of "watching youtube" that is required for openAI to train a model such as sona is considerably more taxing than an individual human, just to be clear - and considering that openAI is a for-profit company that intends to commercialize the sona product, it may genuinely be an instance of infringement/theft. not only for google, but for the unwitting youtube creators themselves whose content sona was trained upon.

Yes, AI should not. Unlike human, AI trained on downloaded KZbin videos do not watch ads or pay KZbin premium. We also don't "generate" videos by watching user generated content.

@@hondajacka2 you probably have chatgpt-4o, but not the voice or the vision. That's what all the paid users have right now. I literally JUST got it, not a heavy user at all and I also have the headphones button and can talk to it, but from my understanding, if it is saving the text version of your conversation and you also don't have the "vision" mode then you don't have the voice model yet either. At least that's what I've been reading. we are only talking to the ChatGPT-4 voice not the 4o

@@hondajacka2 I think they are adding a pop-up clarifying this as it is a little confusing but what you have is the old voice mode that most people had for several months now. The new (greatly improved) voice mode will be coming soon. They should have been more clear though

But we use their service so we knowingly enter into it. Our emails are on Gmail servers that we pay nothing for. So Google rightly so has access to our data because technically it's their data.

What terms of service? I just opened KZbin in an incognito window, clicked "reject all" and searched for cats - bam. At no point did I have to agree to any terms of service. Something tells me that Pichai knows this and that's why he didn't answer the question straight. And why they probably won't sue. (Well, there might be other reasons too that I'm not aware of.)

No KZbinr I know can tell you what's in the KZbin terms of service. And since not agreeing to them prevents you from creating on this ubiquitous platform, there is no real choice. That said, Google should not have exclusive use of all this content they didn't create. Whether I consent to AI using my content on KZbin should not be for Google to decide. And if I decide that the answer is no for OpenAI, it would be no for Gemini as well.

I do not think quality and quantity is not going to matter in a couple of years, if the data or information collected by the companies or the AI, do not remain private or personal, privacy should br made a fundamental right, and access should only be gained in extreme cases according to the law or rules/regulations which are easy to understand by the public! Right now my experience with chat GPT is not any impressive at all. Mostly because it can only do the Google jobs and less. Beside it asked stupid questions about me that I do not need to be asked. Prefer answers from new chat machine until chat can become proper AI machine then may be chat GPT may ask.
