I opened a box of the Iconic Desaster yesterday and pulled: Elesh Norn, Bloodghast, Thoughtseize, Aether Vial, Horizon Canopy and a Foil Thoughtseize. (Plus Some 1-6€ cards) I am pretty happy with that.

So I'm somewhat new to magic, and I bought a box of Iconic Masters because I think the masters sets are pretty cool, plus its the cheapest box. Can someone tell me why Iconic gets so much hate? I was able to pull a mana drain, horizon canopy, 1 foil and 1 regular thoughtseize, cryptic command, vorinclex, ancestral vision, kiki jiki, and a bunch of other rare/uncommon cards in the 2-8 dollar range.

Mostly just people assumed iconic as in iconic cards through out the mtg history and not iconic as in creature types. It's just people looked at it differently then wizards did basically. even tho some of the cards are awesome just not enough greedy invester to put in the money and make profits back also.
