Thanks for this video! Love how simple and effective this is. Just a hint for anyone using Octane...I had to add Octane Object tags to the Mesh Deformer Geometry objects and under "Visibility" turn the "General Visibility" slider ALL the way down and uncheck "Camera Visibility" and "Shadow Visibility"

Wow! Thank you very much for breaking this down so succinctly. I have a lot to learn of Xpresso but this got the job done. I wonder if you could share the Expresso on the bend tag? Thanks from Vancouver.

very nice! Btw, "xpresso for beginners" thats a lie haha. That would be more of a "set driver/driven" !

Thanks Thanos:) haha I guess it was a relative statement, as someone who deals with extensive xpresso networks a few nodes seems like no big deal:p

very nice tutorial! why do you use the pose morph tag? instead of keeping everything in xpresso
@AlphaPixel3D6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm not sure the calculations of keeping it all in Xpresso would have let the points spring back or not. Have you tried it? But to keep the technique the most universal for artists to understand I feel like the less Xpresso the better:)
@matteoforghieri6 жыл бұрын
@@AlphaPixel3D probably you are right, people dont like xpresso. i personaly find tag to be unreliable at times. all xpresso setup works just fine by the way

How can I make it deform by another object ? Not the floor
@philippelariviere76452 жыл бұрын
have you ever found out?
@neoqueto5 жыл бұрын
Cool tutorial but I don't think that Xpresso is needed, even. Soft body on the mesh deformer should do the trick, perhaps with even more versatility, like interaction with different surfaces.
@AlphaPixel3D5 жыл бұрын
Right, if you needed to interact with something other then a floor or wall then soft bodies would be the way to go for sure. However with a dynamics sim you lose the interactive aspect along with some control and predicability as well.

@@bensasi Hi Mo, the positon was just a little wider then the shoe itself and just on the front. I would just play with where it works best for your model:) Let me know if you need anything else!

Xpresso looks so complicated
@AlphaPixel3D5 ай бұрын
it is overwhelming to look at in the beginning but once you have the basics its very manageable. It makes the program so powerful!
