My favorite way to play Jester is by playing like a bad Executioner. Claim sheriff day 1, hard accuse some random dude of being mafia or something, and just push it until either I get lynched or they do. If they get lynched, pick a new target to push. Don't stop until you've died. It works best if you pick someone fairly quiet and suspicious every time, too, because you might get an actual evil, or some important town roles like mayors. I've had games where I got several evils lynched and then got like, a mayor and/or jailer lynched, but was still 'confirmed sheriff'.
