So this is super nerdy, but the conversation at 44:02 that leads to the question “how did Pokémon professors learn that rock and ground types were different things” reminds me of real life taxonomy-where organisms that look very similar on the surface are actually not closely related. This happens a lot with bird orders, but invertebrates are also notorious for look-alikes (worms, for one). So I’m imagining the Poké Professors studying “ground” type Pokémon and learning that some of them hit differently and that they should be labeled as such

A couple years back I began my series of Pokemon acrylic charms (lil chibi versions) and I focused on ones I thought were cute or a good option. So you have the typical Pikachu, Eevee(all eveelutions), the first gen starters. I did Growlithe first. And a bit along the way I chose to make Sandshrew in a lil bit of a curled up position because I think it's adorable. Charge and concentrate/mind charge in persona don't go away until you attack so you could hold the buff while setting up other buffs which is why you always see people use charge or concentrate/mind charge at the start of challenge battles, you could also use charge then attack with a magic attack and keep the charge, really busted support moves

I did a Nuzlocke of this a while back with no type chart! The one rule I instituted was that if a move OHKO’d one of my Pokemon and I wasn’t aware that it was weak to it, then it didn’t count.
