I really enjoyed your review. I've been admiring the Santa Cruz, since I saw one on the hwy in Alaska, where I live. I have read quite a few reviews by people in CO and MN, saying how great the AWD is. I definitely won't be off-roading, but I deal with lots of snow and ice every year. We're due for a new vehicle and already have a 2005 Ford F150, so no need for a full-size truck. I love the unique look of the Santa Cruz, so I am very drawn to it. I think I'm going to seriously consider getting the 2025, since it will have many new updates and I'm hoping they will have the transmission issues figured out. It has such a great warranty, so I think I'm willing to take the risk. I'm so glad I watched your review to the end. It was so refreshing to see you claim your faith and share the Word of God. We ordered a 2025 RAM Limited (90k) back in April and as of today (12/5) it's still not built. The wife gave up a month ago and bought one of these and she LOVES IT. The features list is pretty insane for the Hyundai Limited at less than half the price of the RAM. Yes, less than HALF the price of the Dodge RAM. I'm enjoying the tonneau cover since popping it open and closed is super easy. Oh, we also hauled 3 sheets of plywood and 24 8' boards the other day with no issues. The bed is exactly wide enough for a 4x8 sheet of plywood but it did overhang out the back quite a bit, obviously. It's a nice little trucklet. :)

These really are great little vehicles. Got 34k on mine and it does everything I need it to. I will be putting some larger AT tires on once the stocks wear out. I got the non-turbo and I'm getting 28mpg which I think is great.

Just checked it out at the dealership,the xrt model. I really wanted to get one but I hit my head getting in. I tried 5-6 different times. I’m 6’1”. I had to bottom out the seat height and headroom was pretty bad. The rear seat is very underwhelming, no center armrest no ac vents or usb ports. While I’d never use the rear seat, the kids who would,that you don’t want complaining, would certainly get fidgety.

4x8 sheet goods fit nicely. There’s a shelf/step formed into each side of the bed that you guide sheets onto and then the tailgate cables can moved up to a higher indent that levels out and supports your sheets.

Yea.. the Santa Cruz is not bad.. but kinda small and sits kinda low... I wish the next gen of the Santa Cruz would be more traditional like a normal pick up truck.. And give it more interior space and especially more headroom. This reviewer is 5 foot 9.. And fits in it ok.. Most people that drive pickup trucks are men - and a lot of men (and some women) are 6 foot and over.. A lot men are of 6 foot 2 and 6 foot 4 range... and even over 6 foot 5.. Most men like to sit up higher for a nice high commanding driving position.. I think a truck like that with a more room would really sell well for Hyundai.. And for heaven sake I agree with the reviewer.. Make the new dashboard more traditional with more physical buttons and dials and oversize knobs.. etc.. and go ahead and KEEP that nice traditional stick shifter..

I went to look at a Santa Cruz yesterday in the stone blue. I hated the sand color when I saw it on the Hyundai website but when I saw it in person I ended up loving it too. I did end up getting a Santa Fe because I liked it more overall, but still think the Santa Cruz is beautiful though.

Love the Santa Cruz. I was a diehard GM?Chevy fan for most of my life until they decided to get rid of Android Auto and Apple Car play on their newer vehicles. Then there is the greed and lack of affordable cars and trucks for normal middle class people. I have a 23 Bolt EUV that I love and 2004 z71 4x4 truck. Unless something majorly changes with GM/Chevy I will be looking at other car companies, The New future model of the Bolt will be to little to late.

Santa Cruz has wireless car play and the trim you liked so much is part a multi vent system for air and heat you missed the digital mirror for when the rear view is blocked by cargo, You missed all the features of blue link to get updates for service lock unlock, start/stop and heat steering wheel or climate control. Blue link is shareable if you want to lend you car/truck. You also missed the 135 plug in in the rear storage. Blue link comes free for 3 yrs not 2 or 6 months the warranty is 5 years or 100000 km with 5 yrs roadside assistance. Hope that helps!

I think this design was an absolutely beautiful truck/car concept. The two MAJOR things that put me off considering this, if I had the money, is the terrible infotainment area AND the really poor towing capacity for a vehicle of this type. The way they've done it on the Palisade would be more to my taste. Yes! the Palisade (Calligraphy trim) that is another dope ass car they make. sadly neither the Santa Cruz or the Palisade is available here in the UK......so to get them we would have to do an international import which would add even way more money and extra hassle. Why would Jesus and the CEO's of Hyundai allow such a world to exist...WHY!!!?

Just merely detailing elements of the Palisade that I do like and would have been nice - FOR ME, if they could have been incorporated over like Dacia, Citroen, or Honda does with making a similar look and feel to their screens/info console across some of their car ranges.

I was so close to buying one, but now I thank my lucky stars I didn't thanks to that pathetic dual clutch transmission. Two people I know, one being my cousin bought a Santa Cruz and neither made it to 28,000 miles before the trans gave up. That doesn't include how herky jerky the trans felt BEFORE they went south. Put an automatic with a damn converter in it, Hyundai!!!

The typically cheap made Hyundai Santa Cruz is rated at 22 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. Adding all-wheel drive drops city and highway figures by 1 mpg. The turbocharged version has estimates of 19 mpg city and 27 highway. Compared to the 2024 Ford Maveric with 40 mpg city/33 mpg highway. Even worst the more versatile Ford Ranger gets 21 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The best in breed 2024 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid gets 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway! The much more versatile full sized RAM 1500 gets 22 mpg city/32 mpg highway! The way bigger GMC Sierra 1500 gets 24 mpg city/29 mpg highway. And both the RAM and Sierra are real trucks! Why in God’s name would anyone buy one of these cheap Hyundai lemons? Must be because of the great record Hyundai has in building engines 🤣🤣
