This is beautiful. I lost my oldest son at 20 just 2.5 years ago, and I immediately broke down a few seconds into this video. I was barely 17 when I had him, so I traded my youth for his. The payoff was going to be sharing our adult years, but his life was tragically cut short by a drunk driver on the 4th of July. He lives on in my heart, still the young man on the cusp of 21. Forever young.

My friend Matt was obsessed with this song after the first time he heard it as a kid. As he got older, Occasionally it made him cry and he didn't even know why. We got on him for it, but now I understand.. He's forever young🙏 This song played at his funeral and it will forever be engrained in my head as his song. My daughters grew up and spread their wings in search of their own destiny, that brought me a depression that with a lot of effort I overcame, last year I had a work accident that had me out for 6 months, paralyzed and with therapies, this year in February I get Covid-19 thank God I recovered and all this has made me see life differently and your song is recorded in my mind because that is how I want to feel forever young even though I am 55 years old.

Gosh this is so hauntingly beautiful. I also first heard this version from the Air BnB ad, and it made me tear up. It takes me to my childhood when my dad and grandpa were still alive: A time when my grandpa could still speak and do things on his own before his stroke. A time when we would visit my grandparents and hear so many stories. A time of innocence, warmth, safety and peace instead of cold, grief, emptiness, and the reality of mortality. 💔

A pluto tv commercial had me hear this song... And when I wanted to listen to something to calm me down, I thought "hoping for the best, but expecting the worst".
