I had all the Alpina and Castor models that were sold in Germany. Alpina Super Pro 120 starting from both sides, it was incredible simply unstoppable. The 070S was also perfect, it had both manual and automatic lubrication, the chain was tensioned just by releasing the bar and the spring tensioned it by itself.

Alpina probably doesn't exist anymore, but it sure was better than Stihl.

I just recently picked one up that’ll fire up and idle but the moment you pull that throttle or take the switch off idle it crashes out. Also when at idle throttle won’t engage. Wondering if you have ever ran into the issue. Can we still find parts, or is it a total rebuild?
