Hi Mark, thanks for the video. It's Valjoux movement not Selitta. I'm planning on buying it, would appreciate your opinion of the watch after so many years of having it.

Thanks for your attempted correction. But I have also worked on a few of these watches, and this one does have a SW 500 in it. It works fine and does the job. It is a sub par Wristwatch For the money.

@@markcoffman494 I’m really sorry. I read somewhere that it has a Valjoux movement. I didn’t know it was Sellita. Thank you for your kind reply. I will consider something else then. 🙏🏾😊

@@Philioness I think for the money it’s a good watch. If you’re willing to buy it, I say you go for it. There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s just a very simple watch. And it does. It’s job well. If you have had it in your radar to buy it I would say it’s a good buy.

@@markcoffman494 Thanks Mark. In the same price range I have another option: Hamilton Khaki X Wind Chronograph. I think that one has a Valjoux movement. What do you think about that? I will consider buying Alpina, but not having a swiping second hand makes me take a step back. Some people love watching the see through case back, and some the swipe of the second hands. I’m the latter. 😀

@@Philioness to be fair either one would be fantastic but I think the SW 500 is a little bit better the hair spring alloy that the SW500 uses is a Better alloy in regards to timing. Just do a little bit of research in regards to comparing the two companies. And read about the differences between the movements. Overall I consider SW products to be a little bit better than ETA.

Do you have a preferred or favorite strap material Mark?

I prefer steel, but if the watch is to heavy with a bracelet, I’ll go straight to leather.
