Grazie for the footage bozzy! Quite sad this will probably be the last ever LMP1 car to race in competition, but with LMH and LMDH picking up momentum, I have high hopes Hypercar/GTP will be a huge success for sportscar racing! :D

@@harithizzuddin LMP1 class was disbanded after 2020. This car was grandfathered in as a LMH after a significant BOP.

@@chas1723 they'll probably contunue a similar design since only the dimensions and limits are defined and not the specific designs. Alpine is basically a rebellion and given how competitive this is against the Toyota GR, they'll probably retain most of the design cues. And I hope they do. LMP1s are just beautiful.

This is basically a beefed up LMP2. There is going to be some crazy variety at Le Mans 2023- A homologated hypercar (SCG), the continuation of a 5 time Le Mans winning prototype (Toyota), return of a legend (Porsche), an unorthodox racecar (Peugeot) and this, a beefed up LMP2. Gonna be crazy, hopefully.

I'm guessing this thing is too fast for its class. I was gonna say this doesn't look like a hypercar. They're supposed to have road car particularities when it comes to aerodynamics. Like the Glickenhaus SCG007 I don't think this is fair for the rest. This thing looks like they barely cover the chassis. It's like a wrapped up F1 car

Cause WEC and F1 Sponsoring is based on totally different contracts and also a company can sponsor totally different things like only a specific driver, only technical parts or systems, only specific races (like the tabacco F1 sponsorships since its forbidden in europe but non in asia for example), or other things like clothing, catering, logistics, engineering, aso.

BoP makes racing boring. Bozzy you need to come to Norway for GT+ series. Its going once more a step up in mental. GT3 cars with Turboes and no restrictors, Lamborghinis with 1400hp and 993 "GT2" with 1200hp and 1100kg i believe it was.

Since the aero perfomance is "fixed" in LMH, couldn't they play with some cosmetic changes?! Damn, I know that this chassis is proven to be really good, but it looks AWFUL!!! Zero brand recgnition aswell! Yeah, a low budget team... but Goddam, Alpine!
