Alpine Adventure: Italian Classics Conquer the Albula Pass!・Grand Tour of Switzerland 🇨🇭

Welcome to the 13th episode of a series, where we travel around official photo spots of the Grand Tour of Switzerland. In this episode, we will visit beautiful mountain pass Albula, which connects Engadin and Albula valleys. And luckily we will be there on the day of "Passione Engadina" ralley of classic italian cars.

Grand Tour of Switzerland is the best alpine road trip in the world, which will take you on a 1600 km long scenic road, from lakes surrounded by palms, across amazing mountain passes, glaciers to rustic mountain villages. You will visit the most beautiful places in Switzerland. There are officially 60+ photo spots along the trip, marked with an iconic stand.

Thanks so much, my dear friend! 😀✨ You've heard it right - the southern part of Switzerland - both Graubünden and Ticino kantons have tons of outstanding beauty. As I covered all the stops in this Engagin valley area, next I would like to move towards italian part of Switzerland, Ticino. Unfortunately there was an accident in August in the Gotthard train tunnel, so for the next few months there will be delays (+ 1-2 hours) on the trains crossing the mountains (and as well on the roads due to increased load of trucks). So I will probably stick this autumn still to the northern area, there are still many stops which I didn't explore yet. So far this series is not sponsored, I wanted first to pull off some episodes, try to figure out the format etc, before going back to Swiss tourism folks. There are still 60+ photo spots ahead of me, so hopefully some form of the sponsorship will work out.

Thanks a lot, Christian! ✨It was a special event over the particular weekend, when owner of italian vintage cars got together. More about the event: www.passione-engadina.ch/ On the other hand, during the sunny days you will commonly see super cars in the mountain passes, enjoying all the curves. The most seek-after is a combo of three mountain passes - Susten Pass, Grimsel Pass and Furka Pass, which are interconnected and really outstanding. www.myswitzerland.com/en-ch/experiences/route/three-classic-passes/ I'm just working on the video from Furka Pass, which we visited this weekend ✨ And it was showcased in the most recent DJI Mini 4 Pro launch commercial. @@MainlightDrone 👍🏻😀 I do commonly plan / review ahead of the trips : terrain map on Google Maps (3d) to explore how the area looks like and check the streetview to find out good spots with the view. Then for valleys and mountains I check the 3d map with the sun movement in the app.photoephemeris.com/ - it shows the 3d terrain map with the sun position and shadows - to check if it's better to be there in the morning/afternoon. And then www.windy.com for the weather forecast - it can predict high/low clouds and fog as well. And check the websites around the places to find out if something special is happening. Most recently for example we were filming cows returning from the mountains before the autumn. Each village has commonly local festival day for that event 🐮 I enjoy the preparation part a lot - it's mainly dreaming about the trip and looking forward to it 😀
