Wow! I too think the chickens would love to have their own Swiss chalet. 1790...and even older trees. This 'shed' will last far longer than any big box store shed by a long shot. Well done, Marc! It adds even more charm to your lovely château.

My husband and I watched this together. We were spellbound! The construction was so amazing. Simple building techniques created a wooden structure that lasted almost 250 years. The climate in the Alps must be perfect for timber, to preserve it without rot or bugs. Astonishing story! Thanks

That’s so fun to see how it was constructed!!! They’re kind of like cross-sections of a log home, with the pegs to hold the boards straight, because they don’t have the weight and rigidity of an entire tree trunk. Thanks, as always, for sharing your endlessly interesting lives! ♥️♥️♥️
