I like kenwood, sony, jvc or pioneer. Alpine use to be a fave of mine, but they have became so behined in tech against other brands.

The KTA-450 and KTA-200M Power Pack amps have bolt patterns that fit nicely on the back of the W670, so they're a little easier to recommend.

Do it have steering wheel controls for under models vehicles?

It can be integrated with factory steering wheel audio controls with the correct interface. What is the year, make, and model of your vehicle?

We do have parts to retain the use of the steering wheel radio controls when this Alpine radio is installed into it. We can recommend the best matching install gear for it. Does your 4Runner have the factory installed navigation? The upgraded JBL Audio system? If it does not have either of these abilities, then we need to know if it has a CD changer installed in the dash

@crutchfield neither Nav nor Jbl. It had a cd changer but I don't care for the cd.

What if I already have a sound system, does the power pack still have a purpose?

What type of system do you have in place currently?

@crutchfield 3 Sound digital amplifiers, 2 are 2400 amp powering the all 8 18 sounds and prv mids. 1 3K for my 12' Subwoofer , 1 800 taramp amp for 8 tweeters.

The Power Pack is not beneficial for your system since you already have amplifiers powering the speakers

just concern the heat issue. tropical areas heat are nightmare during daytime

Can a USB splitter be used with this unit?

We do not advise using any type of USB splitters with the Alpine iLX-W670 (or any other Carplay and Android Auto radios) as Carplay and Android Auto features will not function properly when using a USB splitter.

The branded head units are good but expensive. Chinese android units have upped their game and now off more features, Carplay/Auto and sound quality on par if not better than these players. For example an Android unit with TDA7851 chip and 8 core processor will be much better ans feature rich. From brands like ATOTO, Mekede etc. cost less than these expensive units.
