how to wire back up camera to a sony xav8100 radio on a Harley Daivdson trike, I connected the blk/red wire to pos/neg from the radio,connect the video plug, but does work. do i need to connect the reverse in wire too, i dont have a reverse circuit, How would i have to hook it up, My xav8100 has a icon for rear veiw camera, (when touch the icon on the screen, it only show no circuit). Can you help me. I have 2012 harley davidson triglide trike which has reverse, but i want to use my icon on the touch screen to work the back up camers, Please can you help me, Thank.

I bought some Kicker 47KSC6704 and Kicker 47KSS6904 speakers for my pickup truck less than 4 years ago. The foam surround has dry rotted and cracked. Its gotten stiff and now the cone is flapping in the breeze. The vehicle is not in a hot climate and does not leak so they never got wet. They just hardened and cracked. Never ever saw such crap before. Kicker told me they never saw a speaker surround dry out in 4 years but they have a 1 year warranty so i am out of luck. Really for spending almost 400 dollars and i'm out of luck because you only warranty them for a year. Well you must know they are garbage then.

Hie. I like clean bass, not break the door windows bass, but clean bass bang inside ,not brrrrrrr brrrrrr . I see there is a 12' inch Pioneer TS-312D4 4ohm DVC 1,600w Max (500w Nom)... so does it means i can parallel this 4Ohm DVC to 2ohm load , so i will need a monoblock with 500 rms @2 ohm ?

The Sumiko Rainier cartridge does very well at preventing IGD! The turntable can also work with that Audio-Technica cartridge

Hi, I have bought a component speaker set for Renault Twingo 2010. Can I just use the factory wiring for the woofers using a cable adapter, and then use the factory tweeter wiring for the tweeters by connecting the wires together? Or would I need to connect the in-line crossover as well for the tweeters? Thanks.

We are not able to research Renaults to know if you can get by without using the crossover when installing a component speaker. If the woofer and tweeter are connected to the same amp channel in your Twingo, then the crossover must be installed. We recommend checking with a local installer for help with your crossover question

It sounds like you are using an amp that has a remote level controller connected to this receiver. This radio's subwoofer controls should not impact the ability to use the controller and it is likely that either the amp, controller, or controller cable are causing the issue. Troubleshooting may be needed to help figure out which is the culprit. My previous camera has been connected to digital rear viwe mirror that came together, since my camea wierd black 5 pin connector was destroyed I bought new similar camera only with wires but this one has RCA yellow and this red piece wire I guess the camera side shd be conncted to reverse power as mentioned here but what about the mirror side convenience wire, BTW I have connected a RCA to 2.5 jack which connected to top of mirror but get no picture from camera when in reverse gear while camera itself turns on

It sounds like the mirror/camera setup used a 5 pin connector to attach the camera to the mirror and if that is correct, then you will need to identify the purpose of each of the 5 pins/wires to properly splice in the new camera to determine which was taking in the reverse trigger, video signals, and other purposes. We do not research the pin layout on such cameras to help with this, but we do know that if one of the pins was designed to take in a reverse gear trigger, then the convenience wire that came with the new backup camera can be used to provide that trigger from the reverse light circuit

You can, even if your vintage receiver options do not have a subwoofer RCA output. It's a good idea to use a modern subwoofer with a speaker-level input feature like the SVS SB-1000 Pro in the link below. We have not been able to compare either unit to a PS5. Chances are that the DP-UB820 would be needed to be equal to or better than a PS5. As for streaming Netflix, the differences depend on the TVs abilities. If the TV does not support HDR or at least does not support Dolby Vision HDR, then the DP-UB820's ability to stream Netflix with Dolby Vision and re-encode it to something the TV supports, will help provide better colors than the TV streaming the content.

@@crutchfield right now I have a Samsung q90T and ps5. And Sonos arc surround system. Problem is the Samsung doesn’t do Dolby vision and from my understanding won’t allow dts pass through. Sonos plays dts but not dtx. So for my man cave I’m trying to make sure whatever I get will allow me to use Dolby vision, atmos and Atleast allow dts. Planning on getting the lg g4 in the future.

A microphone is not an ear, but the B&W's win in this test for me. I like the brightness. KEF's are way too flat, no life. Ironically I just purchased the Carina's and haven't tested them yet, but they seem to be in the middle, which is good because a PEQ can fix everything. Thanks for the comparison!

Yes I have tried it with the Weblink App. It doesn’t work for me. I haven’t tried using an android device yet. I will try that next.

Just to be thorough, you are using the Black USB port when connecting an iPhone to the radio to run weblink? @crutchfield Well not yet, I'm still troubleshooting what's wrong with my speakers. I'm not sure if it's my reciever or speakers so I'm going to take my multimeter to the speakers to test them is my first step.

When you connected to the backup lamp for power, you used the convenience power wire at the front to connect to the head unit backup sensing wire. Could you have still used the backup sensing wire from the wiring harness to tell the head unit when the car is in reverse instead of that pig tail wire from the camera? In which case would you just put electrical tape on that red pigtail convenience wire?

The best option there depends on the camera you use. And in some cases, even the radio/camera combo so you do want to be sure you follow the model specific instructions.

Both methods can work well. Not all vehicle radio harnesses provide that reverse wire connection though, so that isn't always an option.

Less exposed to sunlight, speakers in doors last a bit longer if the weather seals don't give way and then moisture kills the speakers from behind.

Are you more concerned about sound quality or bass output? Most Mojo 15"s can handle around 750-watts RMS. The JL Audio JD and RD series amps are very similar in overall performance and specs, and the difference really comes down to the overall design. The RD series has all of the wiring connections on the same side, as well as top mounted controls for the various settings, which helps make for easier installation and setup.

Their differences are in the clarity of the sound because the A12 MKII model has an improved damping factor and higher S/N ratios. It also has more analog and digital audio inputs as well as a USB input. It also has A/B speaker terminals with the ability to run both A and B at the same time (can only run A or B but not both on the A11 MKII). The A11 MKII does have one advantage; it supports aptX HD while the A12 MKII only supports up to aptX (no aptX HD)

This speaker does not have a way to output audio to a different speaker. It only has inputs to take audio in from external devices. This means that if you have another speaker which does everything you want and that other speaker has an audio output, then you can use this JBL with that other speaker.

If you want to turn the screen completely off, according to the manual, start by pressing the options button. Then there should be a "monitor off" icon on the screen towards the bottom that looks like a screen with a slash through it. Just touch that icon and the screen should turn off. You can then touch any part of the screen to turn it back on.

It’s actually a whole new set up for my son’s room. I want a kind of “budget” system, but something that can still impress. I’m looking at a Sony STR-AN1000 for the receiver, the Klipsch RF 8000FII or Polk R700’s, and the SVS SB-1000 Pro or maybe the Polk HTS10 and maybe the Polk ES-10’s for the rears (Not sure I want to go all Polk, since I’m considering the Klipsch and if the SVS sounds better than the HTS-10) My son watches some movies but gaming and music are his go to choices. I have to admit I get most of my “advice” from Andrew Robinson. Been following him since his Home Theater Review days.

In my opinion the SVS SB-1000 below is a true performer and would provide better bass than the Polk HTS10 due to having a larger woofer and more RMS power, by around 225-watts. I know that Andrew Robinson really dug the SB-1000 when reviewing them with the SVS complete surround sound system.
