No physical disassembly is advised. To reset your Sony XAV-AX4000 radio you can press and hold the HOME button for more than 10 seconds. That is correct, we do not have any radio fitment information in our Vehicle Guide for vehicles sold outside of the United States.

We have done extensive testing with our Technical Support team on this issue, and we found that signal loss is minimum when using amps up-to 100-watts RMS with good condition factory speaker wires. You can install a 75-watt amp with confidence and have great results without re-wiring your vehicle's speaker wires! Anything over 100-watts RMS or for subwoofers, larger gauge speaker wire would be needed.

The Alpine Power Pack features speaker-level inputs. You do not need to connect the remote turn-on lead wire when connecting the amplifier via speaker-level input, because the speaker-level inputs have signal-sensing turn on. Each vehicle is different, and in vehicles that do not provide a strong full-range signal to the rear speakers like your 2025 Trax a front speaker signal (or the largest speaker in your system as a good rule of thumb) is required to get a strong signal for your subwoofer. While we do not have a screen brightness rating for these radios, we do know that Kenwood radios that feature a similar sized screen have a high luminance backlighting system and will produce a brighter image than this Sony. Alpine does not mention anything about using a brighter design in their similar sized LCD screen radios. Are the receiver's settings for those channels changing when you change the channel? Or are the settings staying the same while the volume levels you hear change with each channel?

No, everything stays the same

It sounds like a similar experience I've had with streaming applications. Some stream lower volume levels which in turn makes me turn up the volume level on the receiver to get back to the same listening levels. The only way I have found to correct this is to turn up the volume when I start the quieter streaming app and then turn down the volume when leaving the app.

But when I’m in full surround mode the center and right front are much lower than the other speakers.

No would not work because the purple wire is looking for 12V signal to come into the radio. It does not output 12V power for devices like the backup camera itself. It sounds like your camera is limited by its design on where it can get the power for the camera and also that you will need help finding an alternative location to pick up the reverse gear trigger for the new radio. We give lifetime technical support on gear that's been purchased from us and those technicians can help with finding that alternative source as well as getting the wires properly connected. @@crutchfield this is an echomaster buck up camera (PCAM-220) i found a diagram to connect it. the yellow to video on stereo, red to reverse lamp and to stereo on purple wire, and black to ground. that way when is in reverse either the radio will get 12v signal and the camera will get 12 v to turn on. the 2 small wires for park lines and mirror image remain joined.

Fair enough, it's a colloquial way to refer to it. We'll hear "head unit," "radio," "stereo," or "receiver" used interchangeably when talking about car stereos.
