I like the superior cultured voice of the narrator. The orange car at left is my 1960 Triumph TR3A I bought in 1982. It lives in Melbourne as I do.

The narrator is Raymond Baxter, a well known British television presenter.

@@paulreilly3904 I also own a 1985 Range Rover Classic that I bought in 1987 at a deceased estate for $100 (AUD) however as it had been garages for 13 years I had to spend a few dollars to get it roadworthy and registered. Runs very well - Superior British engineering back then.

Fantastic race. A track "full of" Cows, Busses, pedestrians andwagons and lorries. Amazing venture I would guess.

I think all of the cars would have had drum brakes, and whilst they can be very good at stopping a car they do fade much more so than discs. And once that happens your only choice is to use the gearbox while they cool down.
