The hi-viz version of this looks just awesome, but after seeing the shoulder sliders on the newer one I just can't not have it on my next jacket, yet on the new one the denier is just 450 unlike this one with 450/600 for some reason, and it doesn't come in the same colorway of the black/white/hi-viz. I hope the update on the pro next year makes me fall in love, I just have to have the perfect match of protection and looks! Girls will understand! =D I think I'll wait and see until this jacket is on closeout and let the amount of discount be the decider.

I am 6'3 180 pounds chest is about 41 I guessing I should go with a large but would that be to short for me?
@RevZilla9 жыл бұрын
***** I definitely recommend a Large. The jacket is designed to run short in the torso for the 3/4 and tuck riding positions. It shouldn't look abnormal. -Hi-Viz Brian

Love the video reviews! They help me spend money efficiently :P Side note: It would be AWESOME if during these reviews... along with the main demo jacket/helmet/glove etc., show the other colorways on the table or hold them up, or have the demoing person do a 360 in each colorway (edit in) to help show off what the different colors look like then go back to the colorway that the main video will be showcasing. Of course for things like helmets sometimes they each have their own video demoing a graphic. But for a jacket, for example, it'd be nice to see the blue, green, hi viz, and red all in the same video just to get a feel for how each of them come across to the eye. A lot of times I'll search KZbin through multiple videos just to find a demo (from any which vendor, or enthusiast who made their own) just to see what a specific colorway looks like. If you could show them all in the one video, even briefly, it'd be awesome. There is looking at pictures online >> seeing the product in a video >> seeing in person. So without being able to see them in person, the videos are the second best thing, help make the product more tangible IMO. Not sure if anyone else is interested in something like that but I've thought about it numerous times; enough to make mention of it. Thanks again for the great shipping speeds, quality reviews and demos, and superior product lineups available at RevZilla.com JEDI F4i

Greetings, Hi-Viz Brian So after viewing the demos of the Alpinestars T-GP air jackets, I decided on the Alpinestars T-GP Plus Air Jacket (Order Number 12587802) and am very pleased with the jacket! Looks great, fits great, feels great! However just a couple days after receiving it, i carried too much speed into a corner and went over a median, ending in the ditch in the opposite lane. Fortunately the bio armour in the forearm and shoulder (the main points of impact on my upper body) did their job and really saved me from going to the hospital. (The Icon Airmada helmet I got from you guys also definitely helped in that.) Long story short, my brand new, beautiful black white and hi-viz jacket is tore UP! Is there a place one could send a jacket to have it repaired? Do you know what the manufacturers would recommend? Is there any programs for gear being damaged from a wreck being purchased again for a discounted price? (saw an exhaust manufacturer offer 50% replacement in the event of damage in a crash, or along those lines.) I love the jacket, it saved me and did its job, and would hate to have to throw it away. And refuse to ride without the proper gear on. Any advice or information would be appreciated tremendously!

I'm 143lbs (skinny guy). chest 35in, arm 22in, waist 31-32in, hight 68in. I prefer a snug fit and arm length to be short not too short because the A-star SP2 glove pretty much covers a lot already. What size should I go for... (USA 36 or 38)? Thanks!
@RevZilla8 жыл бұрын
+Supermoto59 The jacket is sized in small, medium, large, etc., but I feel the size small may be too loose. Therefore, if you want a snug fit, you may want to consider the Dainese Air Crono Mesh or Air-Frame Jackets in size 44 or 46. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-air-crono-mesh-jacket *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-air-frame-textile-jacket

Yes it makes it hard looking at him to decide how it would fit on a normal framed person. I wear a size 54 in a GP-R leather jacket that fits me more on the snug side. Looking at this guy in a xl makes me think I need a large but I could be getting tricked by his gut. What would you recommend I ordered?

I own this jacket and I love it. Mine does have some kind of liner (inner jacket) tho, it's just solid, light textile, no mesh. Could this be for the wind/heath? When you open the jacket in the video, the liner isn't there.
@RevZilla8 жыл бұрын
That would be a windproof liner for slightly colder days. -DrewZilla

I am a 43.5 chest 5'11" 205lb I got to try on this jacket at a local shop ( they don't have the right color) The Lg fit pretty snug and I could feel the expansion panels pulling as I reached forward. The XL felt good in the chest but I didn't feel any movement in the expansion panels. How tight should these jackets fit?
@RevZilla9 жыл бұрын
Scott Strickland It should fit as snug as you're comfortable with. You want a slim fit, but you don't want it to restrict your movement in the riding position. Based on your chest measurement, I think XL would be correct once you also include a back protector like the Alpinestars Nucleon. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-nucleon-back-protector-insert

I'm wondering if this is gonna vent as well as the new jaws. Seems like jaws has more mesh.
@RevZilla10 жыл бұрын
The T-Jaws Air has more mesh so theoretically, it should vent better. However, there comes a point where additional vents or mesh panels don't make much of a difference. Overall, I'd say they're both going to flow tons of air. I personally like the extra textile fabric (increased abrasion resistance) on the T-GP Plus R Air. It's a win / win either way. -Hi-Viz Brian

What are the big differences between this and the viper? i have a viper right now but am trying to decide if i should switch or not.
@RevZilla8 жыл бұрын
The big differences are that the T-GP Plus R Air has accordion-stretch panels on the back, stretch fabric on the arms, and an auto-locking main zipper. Otherwise they're pretty similar. -DrewZilla

I have a question about this jacket. At the bottom of the back piece, right under the place where you insert the Back Protector, there is a removable zipper that surrounds all the jacket around the waist. What is that zipper for? Can you add some sort of back extension attached to that zipper? Or is it to attach protective pants?
@onegraham8 жыл бұрын
I think it is for attaching to your jeans/pants, so that they zip together.

i have a daniese laguna seca evo jacket and i find that it doesn't air flow enough for those hot days especially at low speeds so im looking for a jacket that i can wear and I'm really interested in this T-GP Plus R Air or the Revit GT-R Air, i ordered a Alpinestar jacket from you guys awhile back and for some reason i don't like how that jacket felt even though it was the correct size any suggestions on this?
@RevZilla9 жыл бұрын
quickid150 If you like the fit of Dainese, take a look at the Dainese Air-Frame. If you didn't like the fit of the Alpinestars you tried, I don't think this Alpinestars would work for you either. +bball15799 just received the jacket size : L perfect fit all the protectors sit rite in place ... the arms are longer than u think from the top of the Astar logo on the shoulders till the end of the sleeve its 26.4 inches ..i feel it runs a little short on my wrist.. but a size up would be too loose i feel. overall excellent fitting except for the need of a little more length on the wiest. i guess i have to live with it since i fall in between L and XL . thanks +RevZilla
