400 meters is a challenging shot even with a scope, especially during those times in the eastern front. Then you hear tales of the White Death taking those shots easily without a scope. Difficult time truly bring out the best in a few people.

Yeah it's crazy, in my army time year 2005 we shot at 300m without scope on like 2 inch big targets and hitted pretty easy

400 meters is a long distance in a game. In real life, not so much. Consider that most rifles of the day were considered to have a 600 meter effective range with iron sights, and a scope affixed to a premium example could raise that to over 1000 meters. It just has to do with the way games constrict your view to a small space while having a wide field of view. It makes everything look tiny at even a slight distance.

I have a collection of WW2 rifles. My M1 Garand and Mosin Nagant ar my two most accurate rifles and I can shoot to 500 yards with them consistently. I’ve also hit 1000 yards with an iron sight M1A

I had a 485 running headshot on Utah. Mad props, that's a tough shot. Especially with the Kar scope where you can't even see the guy behind the reticle lol. Nothing feels quite as good as getting ranged in, I love it. Nicely done

My biggest gripe with HLL, I wish they would add a variable sight adjustment for distance like Post scriptum. It just seems dumb that you have to adjust for an arbitrary amount to shoot someone at a distance. Nice shot though

That'll be the extent of the draw range, it's longer for characters. The draw distance for structures Is less. , they would have a garrison and stuff there out of draw range.

Longest shot I've ever made was a 248m Tiger kill. Completely unintentional. Me and my pals were drunk ASF just having a blast on Purple Heart Lane, saw the big boy rolling down the road in front of us. I crouched down, aimed quite a bit up and lobbed a hail Mary. Hit him right on top of the turret. One of the craziest moments I've had gaming.
