It can be daunting at first. I played as an ordinary soldier with an ordinary gun for a while, so there were no expectations from anybody wanting me to do something other than spawn and shoot. It got me used to the keys/maps etc. After quite a while I then tried out a few other classes, Engineer, Support, to get a feel for those. Do not join as Recon. It will be tempting to grab the Sniper, do not do it! You will frustrate others due to not knowing where you should actually be with it (usually across the map at the enemies artillery, not where the actual objective is). There is not much worse than artillery raining down and Recon not going to kill them. Do use the Practice Range, it's had improvements with the various factions and classes added. Also jump onto an empty server and have a play around as SL, drive supply trucks around, drop supplies and place Garrison etc., basically practice on empty servers where you aren't doing any harm. On PC, Comms is a mixed bag, a higher level player as SL (I am 250) should be more chatty as will the higher level squads. Just say you are a noob and ask him/her what they want you to be, they will (hopefully) talk you through that class and how to build where. A Support class can be invaluable to a SL to place Garrisons in the blue, something 1 x SL and 1 X Support can do alone. I would kill for a noob support player to follow me about. You can drop 50 supplies for OTHER SLs too, so 1 x SL and 2 x Support players can setup a quiet hidden Garrison in the red zone which requires 100 supplies if you see the point? That can win objectives. Mainly have fun!

The most realistic reasoning is that bolt actions just generally have more stopping power they pack more of a punch compared to whatever the fg is I believe it’s gas operated 🤷🏻‍♂️.

@@ashah-khan7248 then honestly idk. The BAR rifle uses the 30 06 round which is fatter than the Mauser round yet I’ll also get hit markers. Still get decent kills with it 🤷🏻‍♂️. The recoil on that and the fg is good enough for me to double tap. I’d be more happy to see them add so much as a fire mode selector for all the guns that there should’ve been since day one. Before they start buffing the guns that are still mostly getting it in 1-2 shot kills. Like real life. I’ve heard of an Afghan instance of a dude in sandals taking 9 shots and still being able to run to cover afterwards. Adrenalines a hell of a thing. The game might not be as realistic yet, but it’s hardcore.

You don't have to spawn in to select what objective to spawn on. You have the list on the right side, or am i misunderstanding you perhaps ?

@TheDecendentAmigo I never spawn in that way. Wastes to much time. Within a micro second I see where I need to be and that is where I spawn.

I sometimes have difficulty selecting a Garrison due to other things overlaying it. Not good when you want to quickly jump onto one.

I used to raid defensive positions in my dreams on the regular when I played everyday it was great lol
