I do have empathy for someone who never felt that others were proud of her, but just saying “I’m proud of myself!” over and over isn’t the same as developing the personal strength and discipline to accomplish things you can take true pride in. Being proud of yourself for putting together a LEGO or for taking two days off from a destructive eating cycle and dropping a bunch of water weight isn’t meaningful self-love. Challenging yourself to do better and take charge of your life is true love and respect for yourself, and for the others in your life. I would wish for Amberlynn that she put a pin in “pride” for now, and that she works on “honesty” and “accountability” instead.

When I lost the last 10lbs down to my ultimate goal weight that I’ve had my entire life I didn’t even cry she’s so fuckinf dramatic. When you work hard for something and you achieve it you celebrate and of course everyone does differently but me losing 10lbs at 130lbs is a lot different than her losing 8 at 540…… for reference me losing 10lbs is 7% of my body weight while 8 for her is 1% of hers so the equivalent of me losing 1 lb… which is literally nothing

In response to bringing up Amy's situation: having a bug infestation is SO mentally taxing. We moved into an apartment that was infested with cockroaches because the previous tenants left trash everywhere and we had no where else to go so we just had to live with it while the exterminators and traps did their thing. You dont feel safe or clean or comfortable in your own home and unless you take precautions theyre really hard to get rid of. We had a night routine where we would have to bag up all the small appliances, cover drains, couldnt eat past 6, and all of our food and utensils had to be put into plastic tubs that were always in the way. We were students so we were just so stressed and it made it 10 times worse. If amber is lying and does have a flea infestation I feel for her.

We had a similar situation and moved into an apartment with a mice infestation unknowingly. We were VERY lucky that our landlord took it seriously and the exterminator found their entrance. The few weeks we had to live like that were beyond stressful, so I definitely feel for you ❤

It's just embarrassing too. We got roaches because the neighbours had roaches and our house is attached to theirs. It didn't help that they didn't inform the landlords right away so that problem could be dealt with before it got too bad, but that's the 'it's embarrassing part' for you. We got sprayed in case they jumped from their place to our place, and then again when we actually saw them in our place. It also sucks because we're worried about tracking them to other people, even if you're trying to be really careful about it.

@@rlabarbera a gallon of extra fluid. After my (surprise) CHF treatment I lost 18lb of fluid. It snuck up slowly and I thought it was holiday weight. Shortness of breath, quit smoking. Tired from small effort, rest more and eat better. If she were willing to change I'd suggest getting checked. She "knows what works" for her, tho.

Best way to get rid of fruit flies is a glass with some apple cider vinegar in it and a drop of dish soap. The vinegar attracts the flies and the dish soap breaks the water tension so they drown.

YES. I had a fruit fly issue at my last apartment (it was my fault) and doing that got rid of all of them in a couple days. It was always satisfying to hold the cup up to the light and look through the bottom to see all of them in there.

ALR admitted that she ordered takeout for 6 days in a week! The only way she could have lost weight is if she weighed in at night and then in the morning or went to the bathroom. If she wants us to believe that she is following an eating plan, show what she is eating each day and he honest! Her weight has been in the 500's for years, the only thing that is going to work for her is inpatient therapy!

Amber is deranged. She still is letting her emotions dictate her diet. Which is exactly what lead her to be this heavy to begin with. If you have to depend on feeling good to eat well or not eat like garbage it’s doomed to fail. The fact that she is celebrating water weight loss is insane because the moment she gains it back because she ate a lot of sodium she’ll be off the rails again. She needs consistency. Consistency doesn’t depend on how you feel on a particular day. This is why every attempt is all doomed from the start with her because she always expects immediate results and let’s her emotions dictate what she eats.

Red flag when she said "I blame my parents for giving me trauma". Idk. I've been in therapy dealing with my trauma from my own addict parents for the past year. and we've (therapist and I) never said to BLAME my parents. Just because you sounded a little confused club houses in apartments are a community space on the apartment property that you can reserve for parties if you need more space than what your apartment can accommodate. They usually have a small kitchen so you can do party prep and a bathroom but its mostly just a open floor plan. I have tons of good memories of holiday parties at my apartment's club house as a small kid

I don't think Amber had a choice she's so big she can't fly anywhere, she can't drive, I don't think she'd even fit in the back of a taxi/car she can't take care of her animals on her own hell she can't even take care of herself, she's at a point where she NEEDS to live with someone so that severely limits where she can live. Imagine being in ur early 30s with enough money u could do whatever or live wherever you want but you can't because of ur weight & instead of doing something about it or even feeling bad ur perfectly content with being a burden to ur partner, family, & or friends.

I actually prefer the shakey parm for some things in cooking, because it's finer and sticks better. I use it mainly on roasted root vegetables and squash. Just wash them, slice them up, toss them in olive oil and Italian seasoning, sprinkle with parm and bake at 375F for 20 mins - delicious!

Honestly, no I don’t think it’s insensitive to say you would expect more progress from someone who has been in therapy for more than 6 months, especially more than a year. It definitely has a lot to do with her jumping around and not sticking to one therapist (even when she brags about how much she loves every single one), but also I think she’s just not putting in the work. Your therapist can’t make you do anything. Mine gives me advice and tools to work through my own trauma/problems, but I have to be the one implementing the changes. Therapy only works if you work. You have to want to change.
