THis already hits right into our feels and pushes all my emotional buttons. The topic is so serious and so important! I cannot wait and am scared at the same time. Honestly praise P'Aof. He always manages to tell very serious but also beautiful stories full of heart and soul. -Elise

I can't re-watch this trailer without crying. As gay who was a Catholic, each lines is provoking my feelings. According to Jimmy, P'Aof (yes, the director for this series) got the inspiration for this series when they went to Rome. He asked Jimmy, "What if I make a series about boys and church?" Then he overstayed his visit in Rome, while Jimmy and Sea were going back to Thailand. If I'm not wrong, P'Aof himself is a Catholic and the setting in 1996 seems to be his time during highschool (he was born in 1980). So it's either based on his own life or someone he knew.

@@myklagusta I had a feeling that this is indeed a very personal show for our beloved genius P‘Aof. I don‘t really know how many Catholics there are in Thailand, I did not think it was many, but I guess we will explore that! My heart goes out to you, it must have been hard! I grew up atheistic because my parents arent religious and neither are my grandparents tbh, and even though I believe many find good things in faith, I never liked religions as a concept if that makes sense? To me faith does not really need a constitutional religion where so many people are being discriminated. -Elise

The thai title is "The boy who does not go to heaven".. I'm not ready for the tears.. But it's from Pof so there must be a happy ending ❤

I believe P'Aof said that he spent so much time in Rome and got inspiration for the series while there. But he did say it came from his imagination along with true events of various people all over the world. So it's not really 'based on a true story' or 'based on true events' for the actual series, more like it's based off true events of those who believe in this particular religion. Not exactly a series that is based off true events. If that makes sense?

@@kiramakishima7836 I think it's really"based on true events". Because he's a Catholic. Moonlight Chicken is one of his works which includes a church scene in a BL series. Just like me, I think there's a point in his life when he struggled between his faith and his sexuality (mine was 16 years old). Or he knows someone who has this kind of experience. Then when he was in Rome, he got a flashback and it turned into an idea. Jimmy described that P'Aof is a deep thinker, his mind is constantly thinking about ideas.

@@WifeCrispies It was one of my darkest days. I was 16 and I was quite active in church, my family is also a religious one. I got to a point where I felt disconnected to my faith, "Why should I continue to keep in faith when my faith cannot protect me and accept me as who I am?"
