If you didn’t know this manga is regarded as 2/3 of what is called the “Dark Trio of Shonen “ or “Hell’s Trio of Manga “ along with JJK and Hell’s Paradise (coming out later) I’m a big fan of all 3, also both authors of JJK and CSM are huge fans of each other’s work. Really enjoyed this first episode 😊

@@brimmedhathoe4392 it was in Shueisha ’s shonen manga magazine weekly jump Shonen from December 2018-2020 and then shonen + 2020-to present. It’s also known as Mappa’s Dark trio as well. Also fun fact the creator of Hell’s Paradise once worked with the author of CSM. These trio authors are so badass

I was aware of Chainsaw Man before the anime hype started and never got around to reading the manga. I'm very happy I didn't now as I have become an instant fan of this series from episode 1 alone! The animation, the VA's and the story are all top shelf and to cap it off the firkin SOUND DESIGN!!! All beautiful👏

I caught up with the CSM manga this summer and when I found out it was getting an anime Adaptation I was PUMPED. I love Deji, Power, Aki and probably everyone else. Especially bc Deji’s motivations are so simple yet make sense for a boys his age.

I thought it was going to be an actual constructive criticism. It seems to me you're kinda blind-sided by that. Because so far, this episode has objectively the best 2D animation this season. Unfortunately for you, it is paired with some 3D CGI for some of the cuts. In AOT S3, the Colossal Titan was in 3D 100% of the time. Did you think AOT at the time was trash?
