to be fair this movie did come out before the conjuring 2 so the window scene moment was done by this movie first and I believe this was a much lower budget movie than the conjuring ones that's probably why it didn't feel as grand and intense as them I still like it quite a bit the elevator scene with the demon is one of the most frightening things i've ever seen also can't wait for you to watch annabelle creation that movie is honestly conjuring level in terms of scares and intensity maybe even more that's a lot of people's favorite in this franchise it's easily my favorite out of the spin-offs and it has an AMAZING ending.

Some things always remain on either side like anchors, but they always give and take. Anything good can become evil and anything evil can become good, true evil and true good cannot exist, for to lack the other would lack the perception and empathy required to be sentient. Every demon can be forgiven and every angel can fall.

Some additional context. Annabelle is just a doll. The demon (Malthus i think?) is just invisible, moving the doll around like a normal person would. If we could see the demon, it would just look like it picks the doll up and walks over to another place and sets it down

Want to know the true origins of Annabelle? Watch the Twilight Zone episode entitled "The Living Doll" which aired in 1963. It's where Ed and Lorraine got the idea for this story. It's about a demonic doll that pretty much matches the story the Warrens told exactly. And the name of the mother in the episode was... Annabelle. They were so unimaginative they couldn't even come up with an original name. The same holds true for all their other "Cases". The only scary thing in their lives was Ed himself. There were some nasty allegations about him. That's why these movies aren't scary. It's all a lie. Starting with, "Based on a true story". Still. Good video.

Even though it has a couple of nods toward the Conjuring, La Llorona isn't really a part of that universe. James Wan is a producer, but the rest of the Conjuring team were not involved in the making of the movie. Speaking of franchises outside of the Conjuring mythos - I will continue to lobby for Sinister and The Woman in Black.

Also, speaking on the technical side of the video,, I liked the physical voice filter on the mic but it makes ur voice sometimes blend in with the volume of the movie (as ur higher frequencies are getting softened out) and i had to double back a couple of times to catch what u said. Maybe u could up ur side of the sound just like 1 or 2 volumes higher and it would be easier to differentiate the 2 different sources of sound.

for me, the demon / evil entitiy in Annabelle is not scary (the movie, the real shit is fucking terrifying), compared to the Conjuring movies, but the whole aspect of the cult thing in the beginning and the constant threat to the baby. Idk man whenever there's a pregnant woman / baby in a horror movie it instantly gets to me, even though I know they won't do anything to the baby (for the most part, looking at you Rosemary's Baby & Antichrist).

The threat to the baby and mom doesn't get me for that exact reason. Like what are they going to do, off the baby? Nahhhhh. And the baby was fiiiine in Rosemary's Baby. That was a totally happy ending for the baby at least. It got a loving mom AND community built in.
